Question About Online Sellers

Hey guys,
I'm trying to find a legit Luc Robitaille jersey. Has anyone bought from either of these sellers? If so, can you tell me if they're legit or if you'd recommend them? If not, is there an official NHL site I can buy from or one you can recommend? Thanks in advance!

I looked at the detailed description on the "custom jersey" site, which is good if you are looking for some kind of basis for purchasing an item.

Wish more site did that.

Having said that, this part got me thinking:

Team Logo(s) Features:
- As with every CCM Vintage V550 replica model the "Kings" front embroidered crest is "Glued" on the jersey
- 1993 "Stanley Cup" embroidered crest is sewn on the front

Why glued? Seems cheap to me.

the authentic jerseys were all stitched. even if you are looking to buy a replica at this point you can go this route so it appears the same (not to mention will look and last longer).

the first link I've seen that seller's listings for months. he had all of them at $149 a few months back. obviously trying to make some more money while the Kings are hot, but if you wait it out the cost may go back down.

the other route is keep an eye open for the authentic jerseys from this era and buy one that is blank. from there you can get it customized to your liking. even an off the shelf authentic Luc jersey from the early 90's will command a hefty cost. the game worn's are equal to a down payment on a car.

look around at some of the jersey sites to educate yourself. MeiGray group is who the Kings contract now to sell their game worn. there are other sellers/buyers out there as well. all of which are more reputable than eBay jersey sellers. you will get to a point that just looking at the pics on eBay and you can tell the fakes.

do yourself (and your wallet) a favor, read up on the jerseys a bit before pulling the trigger on one.

I did notice the latter one is charging a little more for the current Kings than the vintage custom jobs... I almost have the Triple Crown Line complete though...plus a (Steve) Carlson #10 in the works...

Ive ordered from this guy with no problems. His name is Ben and I think he's located somewhere in Ontario, Canada.

If you want a custom, he'll need a couple weeks to get it done because he sends them out to a cresting shop. Im currently waiting for a new CCM550 Deadmarsh jersey from him and will probably pick up a NHL2000 Lappy Home jersy from him soon.

If you dont see something you want on that page, just email him and ask if he has what you want. Thats what I did and he hooked me up.

If you order from him, tell him "Randy, the guy waiting on the Kings Deadmarsh 3rd, sent me." and he might knock a couple bones off the $$$ for your order and my next order.

I did some research and found that the eBay seller and the website are actually the same person, and that their jerseys are legit (from another Kings forum and Calgary Flames forum). However, I've also heard very mixed reviews about their customer service and here are the bad ones:

http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/ww...ackjerseys.com
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Custom...05029496203201

I may end up just giving them a shot since I've been eyeing their eBay jerseys for years and can't find these vintage Kings jerseys customized anywhere else. If anyone else has had an experience they'd like to share, please feel free to chime in!

plenty of credible places on the web

http://www.coolhockey.com/Send-Us-Yo.../c9/index.html

https://www.icejerseys.com/hockey_outfitting/

https://www.rivercitysports.com/US/c....cfm#customize

all three of these are highly credible. its also likely there are some local sporting good shops that do jerseys. they typically work with/contract with some screeners and embroiders in the area. from my experience you can order a player number pack, provide a local source with it along with photos that show what you want. in the end you will end up with jerseys to your satisfaction and at the same time be in better control of the outcome.

i've had to do this for custom one-offs for myself and entire team orders. imo this is the best way once you find a good shop that will work with you.

I've heard that icejerseys.ca is the best, which is why I ordered from them. Shipment won't arrive till August unfortunately (due to Kings jerseys being high in demand at the moment), but I've read that their quality of stitching is exactly as you would find on authentic, pro uniforms.

I concur. I have purchased 3 jerseys from them and they're killer.
