Can Jagr Score 25 More?

So I was looking at career statistics, and was pretty amazed to see that Jagr was only 25 goals behind Lemieux in all time scoring. Selanne is only 27 as well.

Do you think he can take out Lemieux before he retires?

Considering he scored 19 goals this past season at the ripe old age of 40...yes.

Of course he can. He may play in the NHL for 3 more years for all we know.

If he plays 2+ more healthy seasons in the NHL, then yes. If he plays just 1 more healthy season, less likely, especially if he leaves Philly (Philly were an offensive powerhouse last season, and he's unlikely to find a better center than Giroux).

He'll play to 70 if it means beating Lemieux at something.

Of course he can, he's Jaromir *** Jagr. With proper line mates, easily.

He could. But I doubt it. If he plays for two more seasons, sure.

Basically if he stays healthy he's got a really good chance to do that next year, so heck yes. He might not do it, but I say it's reasonable odds he does. It's 25 goals, not 250.

Two seasons and he'll almost certainly get it. I'm not sure he's got 25 next year in him though.

I get that he signed with a hated rival but there is something fundamentally wrong with Penguins fans hating Jaromir Jagr. Part of me hopes that everyone involved lets bygones be bygones and he re-signs in Pittsburgh to finish his career. Of course that will never happen though.

If he plays two more seasons he'll catch Mario.

Not in one season, maybe in 2. He played with Giroux and Hartnell most of the season on an offensive minded team and didn't hit 25, he'll be 41/42 years old next season and likely won't be a Flyer. Even if he is, he may not get the minutes he did this season, especially considering how badly he faded.

he would be the first to say that it's a joke, because Mario missed so many games.

Jagr may be moody, aloof, and even cocky at times. But he's always been humbled by Lemieux.
