The OHL website says Jarram for Wharton straight up.
Wharton has already appeared in a couple games for Sault Ste. Marie, along side Vanderveeken and Staubitz (including yesterday). Maybe there was a seperate follow up trade today, cuz apparantly Wharton and Staubitz weren't involved in the same trade.
To Sarnia: Mark Versteeg-Lytwyn
To Guelph: Kelsey Wilson + Conditional 15th rounder in '05
Franchin gets his wish..
To Toronto: Peter Franchin
To Saginaw: Steven Whitley
Also, (minor deal)
To Ottawa: Matthew Spezza
To Kingston: Futures
Speculation: Windsor papers say both Tommy Mannino and Cory McGillis have asked to be traded and GM Kelly is looking to accommodate them.

What is Guelph thinking? It's not even a rebuilding move, considering the two are roughly the same age. I was talking to a Guelph scout at a game and he guaranteed me Card and Girardi will eventually be traded. I'm sure Guelph fans will be hoping for a better return on those two.

Moving Girardi isn't a bad idea for Guelph - he's an overage Dman, and they should be able to get a couple of younger players. Sounds like there's a fire sale going on over there though.
well today at school.....myself and a few buddies were talking and then Cory Mcgillis got a call on his cell phone.....supposivly he's been traded to the Barrie Colts...for who...it wasnt specified

I heard the same thing, but he apparently was at practice today.
Today it was rumored in Barrie that Lukas Bolf is headed to London for a draft pick. I guess we won't know until tommorow, I will see if he shows up for practice or not.
Also a send out to Lukas Bolf for being a longshot at making the Czech Republic WJC team and showed up to play every day and ended up with a plus +4, and 3 points.

I could live with that. I'm not sold on the Knights aquiring a higher profile D-man like Nathan McIver. I think they need a reliable stop gap solution like a Bolf, who won't cost as much. (Two 2nd rounders for McIver, gimme a break)
BTW, hows Bolf's skating?
The Knights don't have anyone that resembles a burner on the backend, so mobility is something the Hunters should be looking for IMO... if they decide to pick up another D-man. (another reason I'm cold on McIver)

Didn't you watch the World Jr's? His skateing has improved from last year (his rookie year) by at least 80%. He does however need some desprate help with his lateral puck movement.
But London would be very lucky to get a D man like him.
Playing well lately??? They are 3-7 and have lost 3 in a row. They are much better than when they started the season, but don't be surprised if they continue to fall if they try and sell him off to a contender.
London would seem like a good choice seeing as he is from London, but I question whether the Knights have the resources to make the deal as Mark has already traded away a few younger kids and given up a couple of draft picks so I doubt that he would be willing to give up too much more. Then again, if it comes down to it, that may be something that Carter could ask for, and I would imagine that for all that Jeff has done for his team, that it could be one of those 'favour' deals.
I'm not sure whether we actually will see another deal from the Knights, although the trade of Futers makes that a possibility as he was a 19 year old giving them another spot on the team. The defense appears to be set going into the playoffs.
Rodney, Syvret, Methot, and Girardi round out the top 4 quite nicely. Whitfield makes a great 3rd pairing crease clearer, and Ferry has played great as a rookie so far. Also what I am hearing is that Frank Rediker could possibly be back for the first round of the playoffs if things go well which gives the Knights 7 capable defensemen.
Good deal for Oshawa, they get something of decent value for two kids who walked out on them. And having seen them play last night, Oshawa definitely needs the help. I think the Donati's may be too small and frail to be effective playing in 'the box' in Toronto. They need time and space to get their offensive game going and there is never alot of that in St.Mikes arena.
Weird stuff, how often do you see two last place teams making deals with each other at the deadline?
