The City of Glendale’s Community Services & Parks Department will host a viewing and presentation of the Stanley Cup. The Stanley Cup is the ice hockey club trophy recently awarded to the Los Angeles Kings, the National Hockey League (NHL) playoffs champion for 2012.
The viewing and presentation will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at 11:00 am in the Pacific Community Center and Park Gymnasium, 501 S. Pacific Ave in Glendale. A member of the Los Angeles Kings organization will be in attendance to present the history of the Stanley Cup. Photo opportunities will be available after the presentation. The Cup, which is on a studio tour, has generously been made available to the public by KABC Studios.
Admission and parking are free. Attendees are encouraged to park on S. Kenilworth Ave. off of Vine St.
I thought this was somehow about the Kings rubbing it in Glendale, AZ. That would seem to stick with the Kings Twitter bravado to have an event in Arizona with the Cup.
