Okay, let's face it: It's the off-season, the draft is next weekend but until then we have nothing to talk about. So, let's use this time to get to know each other better. Now, you might be thinking, "How? Get drunk and too close for comfort?" No. As fun as it would be, it would be a logistical nightmare. Instead, we're using the couch. Here's how it works:
Sign up either in this thread or via PM to me. Each member has 72 hours (3 days for dummies) to ask questions from the member in question in this thread, i.e. "Who is your favorite artist?". Questions can be anything that is within the rules, which means no political discussion and no drug discussion. Also, be sensible. Don't ask anything that crosses the line between personal and too personal, use common sense and no flaming. I'm sure everyone here can behave at least that much though, so no worries. Thought I'd write this down so a mod doesn't have to do it.
Any volunteers to go first? Let's get this show on the road.
For some reason I feel like this is very relevant given the title of the thread:
And didn't someone else do a sort of Q and A deal last year with members that kind of stalled out after one or two interviews?
I remember something like that, yeah, but he created new threads for every member I think?
Anyway, I think this should work better simply because of the "3 day rule". This is actually used in another forum I visit but due to low amount of active members (maybe 20?) it hasn't been active for a while.
Avder, do I understand that you nominate to be the first interviewee? (is that a word? According to Chrome it is...)
EDIT: Just took a second look at the sofa. I thought it looked familiar...
Woke up 5am, built three shelves at work and moved all the stuff from the opposite shelf to that one, hurried customers demanding the impossible, 8 hour shift, going home on crowded buses with no place left to sit and in back & feet thanks to 8+ hours of standing, walking and carrying stuff (minus coffee & lunch break), ran out of painkillers 2 days ago, all muscles in back & leg way too stiff, can't feel my left leg (apart from muscle pain) properly, going to the grocery store, buying 10+ kilos of food, drinks and stuff for the long weekend (it's Midsummer weekend in Finland) AND have BOTH paper shopping bags rip open on the way home, 200m from the store and 800m from the shop. I carried the stuff home in my hooded jacket which was way too hot to wear anyway so I improvised a carrying case out of the jacket, the remains of the bags and a tree branch (not ******** you).
I just arrived home, leg and back hurting like hell, and found out that you ****ing mother****ing piece of **** hijacked my ****ing masterpiece of a thread.
