Sundin should be in, he has some pretty impressive international figures as well.

Sundin was a star on total crap teams. His best linemate ever was Mogilny and that wasn't for a long period of time. The guy had to do everything for that team and was 100% class, yet he never got the love in Toronto that Gilmour or Clark got because all he did was produce but wasn't a fighter or hitter.

Also, this isn't the NHL hall of fame but the Hockey hall of fame. His international play is included in his body of work.

whoa. i guess i agree. i don't have the will to argue FOR lindros that much i just think their both sorta on the same level except Lindros WAS considered the best player in the game for at least a couple years. That said you do have to consider sundin's work for sweden. I just have an opinion on the politics of how the decisions get made and what members of the board are friends with this one and that one. a lot of it just comes down to that. i guess I'm just saying sundin could've waited a couple more years.

Through the first 450~ games of his career Lindros 3rd all time in PPG.

Had 3rd most PPG in the 90's, after Lemieux and Jagr, over a PPG in playoffs.

Hart Trophy, Lester Pearson, 7 time allstar, 2 time nhl allstar team, olympic gold, memorial cup...

One if the biggest hitters, best fighters, most feared players in the league.

Top 20 all time in PPG, even including last 4 years where he had ~0.6ppg.

Still put up a ppg season after enough concussions to make him not know what day of the week it was!

He will be HOF, and hopefully soon. Then hopefully 88 will be in the rafters.

I have to say i don't agree with the Bure over Lindros debate, at all.

Lindros dominated every squre inch of ice. Bure was a great player, but he didn't bring what Lindros did. Lindros was the perfect player in every facet of the game, IMO.

ok my bad on the eligibility issue. I agree with you on the Bure thing. I would of put Shanahan in before Lindros.
Maybe there is water to the him acting like an ******* during his career for him not getting in. Like in any other sport people hold grudges. fair or not thats how it is.

The HHOF isn't just about NHL play, either. Though, based on this alone, I would still select him over Bure.

Lindros had a great international career, as well.
