This is one of the problems I see with GMGM. He seems to become enamored with players most recent performance and only focuses on that when it comes to their contracts. I give you:

Neuvirth hasn't been performing at all. Barely played. GMGM should have been concentrating on Alzner and Ribeiro.
I like Neuvy, but I will say I am surprised by this signing. He has played well the last couple starts, but Holtby looks to be #1 now and Grubs in Hershey looks like the future as well. Maybe there is more to this. Maybe GMGM got enough sniffs around Neuvy from other GM's prior to the deadline that he wanted to lock him up with the thought Neuvy would be popular in the offseason?

The really frustrating thing is we will only have the vague words of GMGM in a press conference like setting to explain things for the foreseeable future. The bloggers and practice stalkers covering this team have no shot at digging out the real story about this.
