Why didn't you ask him. It is interesting to hear George say Bruce was safe after Tampa but in the next camp saw problems. He blamed injuries to his D men while what I saw was that we were out coached in that series. He fumbled the puck not addressing coaching in the offseason properly.
I think there is a premium on icing an entertaining team for Ted and fans that want a fun night out. A GM needs to find the balance between that (a viable business) and winning a cup. While its not easy, he should seek out coaches that bring a style he won't complain about when they are gone.
