Definitely on board with that. Pyatt or Poni more than Armstrong, only because of the chance that Armstrong doesn't bounce back from the injuries.

Get your own ideas.

Meh, I`ve never been a big fan of Armstrong.

You don't want to hear my own idea's....unless you have a hula hoop a clown nose and a skinned rabbit handy.

Pyatt would be great if we don't resign Poni, which at this point looks possible. Pyatt's not as skilled but still a big body that can throw his weight around. And I'm sure the ladies will love him.

Armstrong is not all that useful for us, we already have Clarkson for the same role and he's better at it.

I'd rather have Pyatt than Poni. Poni really faded during the playoffs.

Pyatt looks like a good option. I could see him in a Devils sweater.

Poni was on the ice for many big Devils goals in the playoffs.

It's probably a wash as far as playoff impact between Poni and Pyatt. It's not like Pyatt's a Claude Lemiieux type who flips the beastmode switch and becomes a monster in the playoffs.

As was pretty much the whole team. When you play in the finals, chances are you were on the ice for a big goal here and there. He had 1 goal in 24 games and was largely a non-factor.

Poni had four points in OT alone during the playoffs. That's impressive.

If we can, we keep Poni for continuity sake AND for the reason Saugus just stated above (4 points in OT alone during the playoffs is nothing to sneeze at).

Ledger_NJDevils: Salvador won't be signing right away if he becomes UFA. He sees himself getting a deal between $5.25 M per (Wideman) and $2 M (Gill).

Hmm, so nothing about comparing his salary to Volchenkov's? I am shocked, DATW has always been telling me differently.

He played solid hockey and was certainly a factor in the run.

We do not have room for him here. And no thanks on yet another multi-year deal for an over 35 player.

Definitely. With Harrold re-signed, the Devils have their 6 D all figured out. Injuries would let the prospects come up and show what they've got. Just no space for Sal. Thanks for your production during this playoff run, though, Bryce! It was refreshing.

Sal is not coming back. I'm not gonna say we don't need him, because he was our best defenseman last season at pure defense. There really isn't any room, and no way Tallinder gets moved, and I really hope we don't get a left field move with Tallinder being bought out. We're already at a million a year with Colin White's buyout.
