Lehtonen is a good goalie..

It's not like the intelligent GMs are handing out ridiculous contracts to players like Leighton

I do remember tho when Fehr was in charge of the MLBPA they once went to zlmost zero hour before a strike/lockout. It was after 1994 I think. But I do remember it because there was a nationally telivised game when the news broke that there was an agreement.
When fehr was in charge of the MLBPA in the 90s, they went on strike right before the playoffs in 94 and then made an agreement right before the 95 season started

Please correct me if I'm wrong but did the players cause these problems? I'm having trouble taking anything serious coming from the owners, I feel like the owners have created these problems on their own, plus the owners are being greedy, they want more money but aren't realizing what happened last time the lost a season and it took years to get the popularity of the NHL up again, especially in an economy where the unemployment rate is shooting up and most of my family and people I know are unemployed, took huge paycuts, and/or went from full time with benefits to part time with no benefits, it pisses me off these owners are crying over more money that's cool enjoy your 3rd private jet while people are losing their homes, and **** Bettman too obviously you do an amazing job how many lockouts has this been under your watch? I don't care "who's fault" it really is it just looks like you don't know what you're doing, replace this tool with anybody or the game we all love is going to Russia and we'll all become KHL fans

quebec ruled NHL lockout is legal in providence, so now the canadiens will be under the same lockout rules as everyone else.

NHL PA is now trying to the same for alberta teams but if MTL didnt get it i doubt CGY and EDM will.

I dont really understand why what that would do anyways if one province accepted that plea. if the rest of the league is locked out and QUE would have accepted it, what the hell would that mean for the Habs?

had the QUE labor ruled the lockout illegal, MTL players can still get paid and use facilities.

6m for a 60+ point player who brings a physical edge isn't really an overpayment when you look at the other forwards near his price.

5 to 5.5 is fair, but 6 is ok. I was being a smart ass to the owners who are crying about contracts but continue to dish out massive contracts. **** them.

there has to be a change in approach to this, there doesnt have to be a lockout, actually all the players who are on nhlpa that more money and owners cant give that, they could just release them on the street until they come to their senses and take less to come back on the team, so other players can play hockey and not greedy players take it away.

So it's ok for the owners to hand out contracts at the last minute of the current CBA, the one that owners say is causing them to lose money, and then sit there in negotiations and ask for an up front roll back from the players?

Im not sure if you have watched the Dark Knight but this is simply just a play on words.

Its changed from "It's simple, we kill the Batman".

Completely innocent.

No, I got it...If I was Bettman, I wouldn't appreciate it...

I've actually had real death threats a few times over the years because of my job. Its just not something I take as a joke in any shape or form or whatever...

How is 6m per for 3 years a stupid contract?

Lucic is a 60+ point player and is arguably the face of the bruins

Not to mention if there is a rollback in salaries of any sort that 6M becomes 5M+

60pt 24 yr old LW power forwards dont exactly come around often ,, Bruins made smart move locking up another piece of there core

everything is about the players they always want big contracts and the owners have their hands tied because they cant let a good player get away especially a player like stamkos or crosby because of their greed and owners have no choice but to sign them and it's absurd, and other players want more money the same way, how is that not accountability on them? they care more about money than hockey.

owners only give out contracts but the players want more, that's the problem here.
