I went with Jankowski. Its hard for me to look past the potential. I think Reinhart is my #5 though.

Looks like Johnny Gaudreau's moving up the charts. We love our little guys here in Calgary. Call it the Fleury effect.

Yeah, voted for Gaudreau here. Our first 3 are definitely surefire NHL players, Gaudreau has some pretty damn enticing upside imo, the only other prospect that has the offensive game to be on par with Sven.

Little Johnny.

He has a great skillset, and I'm excited about seeing him play up in the big leagues eventually

Serious underrating of Jankowski. Though I love gaudreau, the two are already being compared and Jan is like 9" taller. More potential for sure. I would also put both before Irving (still not completely sold on him, though I hope) and maybe even above brodie, who is excellent, but will top out as a #4 for real.

The problem with Jankowski is that at this point, he is all potential. Hes an unknown commodity. Until he proves himself in a better league, people are going to continue to question him. Prospect ratings are not just determined by potential.

I definitely understand- But I want to be remembered as saying it when he blows apart the USHL or College (has he chosen yet?) next year.

I think when the potential is huge #1 centre, it's tough to not rate him highly

I voted Reinhart, but it could be either him or JG, depending on whether upside or readiness is a bigger factor.

Jankowski has the upside too, but needs to demonstrate something next year against better players before he can be given his due.

what's nice about this list is that you get down well into the teens and it is still really good players.

If it was proposed on this board 2 weeks ago that the Flames could trade Gaudreau for a pick in the draft in which they'd get Jankowski, nobody would have taken it. I have high hopes like anyone, but don't drink the koolaid that easily. Just because these guys see amazing potential doesn't mean he's anything. The league some of you are hoping he tears up is a league Gaudreau already tore up. And he was younger, and he's a midget
