none anywhere near as good as Bernier could be though, and its not like they can't try to move one of the others.

Deal. No take backs. Hell, we'll even throw in the UFA rights to Penner and a cheeseburger from In N Out.

Doesn't make sense for him to go to the Leafs. His numbers aren't much better then Reimer's.

NJ would be the best fit for him.

I'm calling it now.

Bernier to NJ for the SCF Game Six puck.

I also think the Blackhawks make a ton of sense, but I could see where the Kings would rather move him to an ECF team.

My guess is he'll go to Toronto, probably why the Luongo deal didn't happen. Burke must have had been told to hang tight till Quick was signed and Bernier would be on the market.

Colbourne + 2nd

In all seriousness maybe this is the guy Burke goes hard after.
Why does Burke go hard after an unproven guy that who is the same age with less experience than James Reimer?

It'll be hilarious if Burke gives that up for someone who has proven nothing.

I'd like to see him in a Canadian city, like Winnipeg or Toronto.

Jonathan Bernier to Chicago makes a lot of sense. But somehow Bowman extended Emery, so I can't see it happening.

could be? if we're talking about could be, then its certainly possible that any of the goalies Columbus aquired could eclipse Bernier. He's still very unproven and guys like Dansk have a TON of potential.

Not the Devils. Toronto makes the most sense from the perspective that they don't have a number 1 ATM and we need someone who has more potential than Reimer or Scrivens.

Bernier is a NEED.

It'd be hilarious if that's all it took to get Bernier. Although I guess it depends how high you are on Colbourne.

Burke would be a stupid man to trade for Bernier, wouldn't be much of an upgrade with what the Leafs have now, the potential may be there but its a gamble when you have Reimer who has played more games than Bernier.

Bernier has a ton of upside....he could be 'any kind' of goalie. Goalies with upside like him don't grow on trees. You need to pay the man if you're going to get him i believe.

And what has Colborne proven? Not saying I would make that deal, but it's not like Joe is a guarantee.

He has good experience learning from Quick and even though he didn't play gaining the knowledge on how to win a cup is invaluable.

I'd say Bernier has proven as much as Lindback, Bobrovsky and Bishop. They all got at least a 2nd round pick. Don't think it's out of the realm of possibility for value.
