Holy ****, already 46 000+ views in less than 12 hours.

They really love Granlund.

Finally got around to writing down my thoughts on Sunday's scrimmage. Everyone in Finland can now sleep soundly, that Granlund kid is good.

Pretty much. That's amazing.

So with CUMA injured ONCE AGAIN, is it fair to say officially that he is a bust? This kid has broken down more than a 1980's made Harley Davidson.

It goes back to last year where one of our Granlund scouting reports from camp got picked up by Iltalehti in lieu of Russo. Got some bigtime views (for both that point and now) from the link and Dan and I joked that we were big in Finland.

There are probably Finnish babies who are living off of Mikael Granlund ad revenue with the number of stories and views. 46,000 in less than 12 hours is ridiculous.

Who said he was injured? I believe they held him off the ice so he didn't get injured.

I think if we could get anything for him in a trade... even a 7th rounder... we probably should. Unfortunately he probably is not really worth his contract slot at this point.

A 7th rounder? Pffft.

If that's the case (which I don't think it is) we should keep Cuma and see what he develops into. From what I had heard, his recovery went well, and he still has potential to develop into a NHL player.

Agreed. Injury sucks but hoping he fixes it has better value than a 7th round pick IMO

Watced scrimmage, pleasantly suprised with a few guys: Team White.
Lliked Graovac(good 4th line checker some day), liked Larsson(for me he has NHL sooner rather than later written all over him), liked Thomas(lots of enthsiasm and speed), thought Charlie was OK, think Seeler has a future, and liked Brodin alot.

Team Green..Zucker is quick and tenacious, Phillips had and created scoring opportunities every shift, Bulmer has a bright future(i see him as a third line guy), liked Gunnarson(gotta move puck a touch quicker), Granlund was OK(down low in his end he has his hands full), liked the potential of the Gilmour kid(good frame has potential)...

Wouldn't mind seeing a couple of our AHL d-men traded for low picks as we have too many of them but Cuma isn't one of them. I'm not giving up on him quite yet.

Lorenz isn't even on an NHL deal, is he?

I do sort of like Medvec as well. Don't think he's some kind of throw away prospect. Not saying he'll ever develop into a reliable NHL defenseman, but I do believe he could develop a niche and stick around the pro game for a while...

Nope, AHL deal.

And Medvec's come a long way from being a guy that the team wasn't likely to sign.

it was just camp, but Medvec looked like Good Falk. Skating wasn't as good but he was more aggressive.

Yeah he's going to look awesome because he's 5 years older and a couple feet taller than everyone else.

Well if we package them together as AHL fodder... I dunno.

I would really like to just throw away some of these guys to free up contract slots so we can sign someone if we need to or want to... like that Thomas guy.

There's still another year and besides as high as I am on the player it's not like Thomas is Matt Read or J.T. Brown.
