Off all of the signings today, this is probably the one making me feel the best. After the way the season ended, the way he stood up instead of hiding, the way the coach and the team stood for him, I'm very glad to see him get another chance with the Devils.

Happy for Bernier, hopefully he can pick up his scoring a bit, his defensive play is very nice.

Very glad that NJ kept him. He played very well for them and that 5 min penalty was a BS call

He was a big part of one out of four losses, and Marty and the devils pk were just as responsible for the outcome. I don't think anyone but a minority of uninformed fans is really going to hold a grudge.

Most Devils fan didn't blame him or don't anymore. And they all know how important that 4th line was, and Bernier was a part of it.

Great to see him re-signed. Loved that 4th line.

He played hard, and gave you guys 110% each and every game. Great signing.

sad fact was he had quite the potential and repertoire at one point where teams were fighting for him. As they, Oh how the mighty has fallen.

I hope for the best in devils organization and glad he has found a spot.

You still see some flashes of talent from the guy. Sometimes he combines his skill and size in a way that shows you why he was picked so high.

Nope, idk if you watched them in the playoffs (not saying that in a mean way) but he was part of their 4th line that really won thm some games. Carter, Gionta, and him were beasts in the playoffs to the point that Kovalchuk constantly referred to them as the 1st line. Towards the end of games, when the Devs had a lead, Bernier was moved up to the 2nd line in place of Sykora because he is more responsible defensively.

So good to hear. The kid is lucky he plays for a Class organization, and that NJ has smart fans.

hits hard, good defensively, normally doesn't take stupid penalties, good enough offensively to where he buries a chance when he gets it and even creates his own every once in a while, and he's willing to stand up for his teammates. litterally everything you could want in a bottom six player. unfortunate that he's one of those long list of guys where if they just had that one part of their game be a bit better (for him it's his skating) they could be a star, but you have to admire him for sticking to it. i love bernie.

OH ! Yes I remember some of the games, I didn't watch many of the playoffs this year...just didn't feel that great and was moving around. I remember Gionta making some noise for sure. Was funny to see as I liked Brian over there during his devil days, not the same guy as a hab. Is Poni doing well? I hated his inconsistency over here with the leafs.

If Devils fans were Philly or NYR fans, no signing.
