The management hasn't even been allowed to say anything about any player under contract with another team so not sure how you would come to that assumption. I can't really remember what they have said, but I know it was something of the sort that they would be pursuing free agents hard but no specifics of course. If anything its just the media hype around Parise. But I do agree with you in that I would much rather shell out for Suter. I guess we will just have to see what happens.
Younger players may also be on the move as players who were not tendered qualifying offers by their 2011-12 clubs suddenly find themselves in unrestricted waters.
Will teams take a chance on young talents that have been set adrift like Peter Mueller, Guillaume Latendresse and Cam Barker?
My bet is that Parise signs with someone by tomorrow afternoon/evening and I think Suter will spend a few days pondering his decision.
Parise, people, is getting married next week, i think he'll make his decision rather quickly so he can put it behind him and focus on getting married, plus i bet the future mrs. has told him that as well.
