Well of the 4 defensemen under contract, 3 are left shots and only Karlsson is a right shot. I don't think he'd be gifted that second pairing spot, but he would have the inside track to seize it. A lot of people offer credit to Gonchar for Karlsson's development, so that's always attractive too.

Yes, Gonchar did seem to work wonders for Erik.

I'd welcome a Schultz signing with open arms, mainly because it banishes Prosser to the AHL. I'd post the probable line-up but squidz already nailed it.

I can totally see Fletcher doing it though, well no actually. I could totally see RISEBROUGH doing it.

"Well we didn't get any of the good d-men. It's okay though, we'll draw a few fan's attention if we sign a former Wild player. Who cares how bad he is. Get er' done."

Fel what have you got against O.J.? Hes the boss! Imo if we don't get Zach Parise he is the second best option out there, and I don't think we need to overpay him. 1. We're close to his family (Cgy) 2. Mikko, Bäcks and MG 3. Hes pretty much straight edge so hes not looking for a partay metropol.

He brings size that we desperately need in the middle, improved 2-way play in Calgary, that secondary scoring we so need and I think he could mesh great with Bouchard/MG and Seto on his wings.

Nothing.

The Wild don't really need a center if you ask me.

I had a thought pop into my mind earlier and was wondering what you guys thought. If you had the choice between signing Parise at 9mil for 10 years or Semin at 6mil for 5 years who would you choose?

I think I would be inclined to choose the Semin deal... Parise is the better player, but that Semin contract offers so much more flexibility in the future. Then again, maybe it would take a bigger contract than that to get him.

I'd take the Parise deal, every time.

Parise is a big time player that leads by example, conducts himself as a professional and plays with alot of passion.

Semin is a slug. There's a reason why the Capitals want nothing to do with him anymore.

Honestly, I'd take the Semin deal. Sure, he's a slug. But hes a talented slug that gets almost a PPG. Plus, Semin is healthy for the most part.

Just remember folks, today is two days before the day after tomorrow.

Would be kinda neat if we landed Schultz. Wonder if they'd give him the same number just so everyone could still use the same jerseys...

I'm pretty sure the guy at the beginning of Becoming Wild gets sick of sewing jerseys every episode, too.
