A good question was fire at Russo today.

If the Wild do not land Parise and/or Suter. Whats plan B? Russo seemed adamant that there will be trades, went as far as mentioning Bobby Ryan.

I'd hate to see the Wild lose out on their prospects, which is a world away from where the frachise was 2 seasons ago. But I wouldn't mind trading picks and a few "vets".

Sounded like he said the Wild may have interest in Langenbrunner (who I was hoping the Wild were going to get last season).

Semin is likely going to Russia... But Yeo could whip that ****er into shape...

I was hoping for Justin Schultz... But I doubt it..

Matt Carle may be an option..

So far I've got us Parise, Colaiacovo and Dominic Moore in the UFA game in the Trade & FA Forum.

Parise 8 x $8m
Colaiacovo 3 x $3.5m
Moore 1 x $750k

Wut up.

He still isn't giving me Schultz.

Yeah, he has too much power. Turned down my Suter bid for being non-contenders, even though every outside source and speculation has us in contention for him.

I just got upped by Washington for Parise, $81 million over 10 years. Man, I don't want to get into double digit years...

Edit: I can actually see the St. Louis offer for Suter being very realistic.

Washington's a non-contender for Parise, that shouldn't be allowed. Also, they probably can't fit that under the cap unless they get rid of Green or he signs for less than he was already making.

Yeah, I just looked on capgeek. Carlson needs a nice raise as well.

Matthieu Darche

How would you guys feel if we signed him for 1yr @ 750K ?

I think he would be a great role model, and we could use him as a filler rather then have a prospect rot on the 3rd line.

Bouchard-Koivu-Heatley
Setogouchi-Granlund-Cullen ?
FA-Brodziak-Cluttebuck
Darche-Powe-FA
Kassian

Doesn't look so bad to me... My mind is kinda fuzzy I might be forgetting someone.

I believe that Granlund can play LW, so alternatively:

Granlund-Cullen-Setogouchi

Also PMB can play RW IIRC:

Heatley-Koivu-Bouchard...

Anyways how would you guys feel about Darche ?

Yikes.

No thanks. I'm sure the Wild are also not interested.

Darche is a 35 year old AHLer. This team should have absolutely no interest in him, and he definitely does not deserve his own thread.

We all know Darche will sign with Tampa anyways.

He's a former Habs player after all.

Tampa Bay Canadiens.... Or the Tampa Bay Québécois !!!!

They love:
A) Their Frenchmen
B Their Russians

If MTL were more like them maybe I wouldn't have to burn the Gazzette sports section on a daily basis..

Outbid on Moore... somebody offered $2m

Parise got bumped to 9 x $9 because apparently rules don't apply to the Capitals.

The only UFA center out there that could do that is Jokinen. Otherwise, a player to do that would have to come in via a trade.

We don't need any centers. We have enough coming up through the pipeline.
