Darren Dreger on 1050 at 11:00

Dreger will be on TSN 1050 speaking with Scotty Mac about all things Leafs (including free agency). He's taking calls and answering questions, so there could be a lot of good info about Schultz and Luongo and all other free agents.

He'll be on from 11:00-11:30

Dregger doesn't know inside info from his elbow. The guy is a waste of space

Hopefully someones asks about our chances to sign Marty Brodeur.

Wouldn't that be something.

Brodeur makes the most sense for us but maybe not so much for him

I can sum it up before hearing it:

"Leafs obviously have interest in Marty Brodeur, but he will want to sign with a contending team."

"Brian Burke covets Bobby Ryan, but won't bring in another big winger if price is too high."

"Leafs not in on Roberto Luongo."

"Burke doesn't want to give up the assets to land a top flight centre, so will have to settle for someone that isn't a bonafide number one."

Bam.

I just hope someone calls in and asks about Colin Wilson.

Why would Martin Brodeur go his whole career and then switch to 1 team for his last year playing in the NHL?

Doesn't make any sense whatsoever. He will be a Devil, or he won't play again.

Do people generally hire agents to retire?

Dreger always bases his answers on assumptions, and keeps everything non-specific. This way he can't be proven wrong if he doesn't actually provide a concrete opinion.

Honestly, half the people on this site can provide more insight on the Leafs potential off-season moves.

Every time you hear him say "Reports are saying" or "There are rumblings", this means he's making things up to generate interest in the segments he appears in.

I'm interested to see if he discusses Shultz. Not necessarily because I want him on the Leafs (I do, but I won't be crushed if he isn't) but to see if he follows suit and doesn't talk about him to the Leafs. Kind of a conspiracy thing I have going and more of a curiosity.

If he still feels he can be a competent NHL goalie and wants to play, but can't reach a deal with NJ, it makes perfect sense to play elsewhere.

Dreger, for me, is turning into a blowhard. I don't believe much, if any, of what he says anymore.

-hab talk on price and subban contract and what they want for their depth.

Is it just me, or is Dreger just talking out his ass? Seems like he's just making stuff up as he goes along.

How the hell would he have any insider information about the Habs??
