Well we have Kassian. I guess you could try to pull something positive out of this if the thought of Schultz actually taking advantage of being able to chose his own destiny makes you so irrate: remember what boogaard did to the oilers two seasons in a row? Wouldn't you find it particularly satisfying if Kassian knocked Schultz out of their lineup for a month or so? Just something to anticipate.

Lets just hope that pat on the head for presentation was real. I like Fletch but he has the personality of a tumbleweed, maybe thats why he had Yeo in tow..

Hard to compete with the sell job it sounds like Edmonton presented him with.

Now we'll get to see what kind of player he is at the NHL level up close and personal. Seeing the kid at Wisconsin, I'm sure he'll be an asset. Kid is real deal, IMO.

I'm very surprised he went to Edmonton over Ottawa. Hopefully the complete lack of NHL players on the blue line, and the absence of anything resembling coaching for the defense doesn't screw his entire development curve up.

[Crossing my fingers and hoping that the Ducks are sitting on smoking gun evidence that will cement tampering charges against the Oilers and they were just waiting for Schultz to make his decision before officially presenting such evidence to the NHL.]

Edmonton folks still is shallow on D and doesn't have a goalie, ignore their fans because they got a long way to go. Least on the Wild's end we won't have to be in position to give him a raise along with everyone else we got like Edmonton is going to have to soon.

you wouldn't say that if you'd spent any time talking with him. he's very dry, but he's actually quite funny.

Would have much rather seen him sign with the Sens, but I guess it's hard to say no to #99

This is just gross... I was really hoping it would have been Ott.

Only thing I can hope for now would be for Clutt, Bulmer and Dumba to simultaneously knock out some of their top prospects... They are all quite stringy and fragile...

Oy... the GDTs are going to be painful this year against the Oil.

i KNOW you would. I'd be upset, but I wouldn't be running around calling him names and wishing evil on him or his team of choice. Well, not any more evil toward the team than i would normally. Some of them are ridiculous.
