I like all your guesses, but I think Moen gets slightly more. I'm guessing $2 + per. I also think Subban definitely gets more term and cash. I think 4 years, $14 mil.
And I don't think Darche gets tendered. Just my guesses.
I think people are wayy too low on Subban. Young guy already playing big minutes and seasons of 36 and 38 points. I think he carries around a 4 mil cap hit...2 years at 7-8 mil.
Emelim might cost near 2 mil/yaer with the KHL as a threat.

I could see Moen getting closer to 2M but since he made 1.5M I'm hoping it's under 2M. I don't really care if they bring Darche back or not, as he works hard but his lack of speed and production are a concern. Subban is a tough one, I am not sure they would lock him up for too long as he might view it as in his best interest to sign for a couple years now and then go for a big contract that buys up some of his UFA years.

Subban had a cap hit of 875K so I don't think he's getting 4M or close to it just yet (or so I hope) I think 2 years at 8M is overdoing it personally.
I'd be suprised if Emelin got 2M, not sure he's done enough to warrent more then double his salary from this year despite the KHL threat. Hopefully they can ink him for under 1.5M.
What's so wrong with Darche? He was used wrong too often the last few years, and spent too much time on scoring lines, but he's a good 4th liner and an acceptable 3rd line fill-in.

His current deal was an ELC and lower than a lot of young stars because he wasn't a 1st rounder. Price got 2.75/year the year after he lost his #1 job to Halak, I have no doubts re-signing Subban will cost AT least 3.5/year over 1-2 years. If I was Bergevin I'd try and do 3 years 12 mil.

He's gonna be 36 soon, he doesn't fight and he doesn't hit. I'd rather someone younger and grittier on our energy line.
But he's a nice guy so I hope that if he can't find another team we will offer him a position in our organization. Maybe he can be a LHJMQ scout.

Yes but he still made 875K and not many players go from 875k to 4M with their 1st contract so hopefully that's not what it ends up costing us. I would hate to see him get 3 @12M as it means his next contract is going to be huge.

why do you think Moen will get double his salary? 2M seems ok but 3M seems over the top imo.
Yeah no way Moen gets 3 mil. If you look at Moen play you know his talent is very limited so it's not guaranteed he will repeat his last season's production. Even Clarkson doesn't get paid 3 mil.

Hockey isn't just about hitting and fighting. Darche is a guy that can take some PK minutes, he is reliable defensively, hard worker, good attitude and can chip in 10-12 goals with limited ice time.

I don't think his current contract matters. He is one of the top young d-men in the game and unless his agent is an idiot he'll want a good contract.
I wouldn't mind signing him for 4-5 years but the cap hit would increase not drop. Possibly around 4.75-5 mil

You can find a guy who does everything Darche does and hits or fights or is just more grittier. He's easy to replace and it's time to replace him. Give his spot to a youngin.
Moen is the type of player that's a hot commodity. He'll score a couple of goals, be physical and kill penalties. I hope we sign him for less, but he'll be asking for more I'm sure.

Who can do all that and not cost 2 mil/year? We have other needs here. we also have Moen that can do all those things(assuming we re sign him, which I think is a good possibility) plus White as well. Staubitz does some of that plus guys like Conboy and Schultz are close to the NHL.
Imagine what a line like Moen-White-Staubitz could do. Moen is the type of player that can go out there and get momentum on the fourth line with big hits and dropping the gloves and he can also inter-change between the fourth and third lines, to play a shut-down role for a period if need by. Moen is a model bottom 6 player to have and teams will target him. I don't see Habs giving him more then $2.5 million a year but I do see other teams not hesitating to throw upwards of $3 million at him.

Someone like Brandon Prust. I hope one day we will have a real 4th line in MTL. I don't know who is available and who won't cost 2 mil but I hope Bergevin can find one because Darche is starting to get old and will need to be replaced soon. Immediately would be best.

Why not give him the #13/#14 forward role, where he plays 30ish games a year?

Letang is the obvious comparable.
Was getting 835k on his ELC during which he played 210 NHL games for 77 points.
Subban played 160 NHL games on his ELC for 76 points.
Letang got 4 years at 3.5 million when the salary cap was lower. Subban's got to be looking at 4 million per year.
