Limited minutes ?

Hum, Steve McIntyre ? Would inspire fear, and doesn't really go with the code... very limited minutes though

7th D.

Can he play on the 4th line? I would prefer to have him there.

Just a reminder that rumors from a Twitter account have to be from those affiliated with legitimate media outlets. If you're not sure if a source is allowed, send a PM to one of the mods.

A high school diploma! Ahahahahaha!

No but really, team leaders (in addition to being mods) oversee certain forums and the moderators of those forums, deal with complaints, and so on.

Knowing her, I don't think it's "serious".

But she could try to lure him here. Just promise her her own show on TVA Sports. lol

IMHO this guy would be the perfect fit as a #3-4 d-man...2 years 7-7.5 mil...maybe 8 if needed.

Bryce Salvador is interested in staying with New Jersey, but he thinks Zach Parise and Martin Brodeur are the Devils' priorities.
All three players are eligible to become unrestricted free agents on July 1. "I think I’m third in line," Salvador said. "We’ll see what happens with Zach and Marty first. There’s interest from both us and them, but there’s other things they have to figure out first. So, we’ll just kind of see how it plays out. It’s going to be an interesting next couple of days." Salvador had 106 hits and 107 blocked shots in 82 games in 2011-12

The team signed White for the 4th line. Staubitz just couldn't be the extra, unless they wanted Nokelainen to be the regular 4th line center.

White won't play center unless somebody is hurt or as an exception. He's been used as a winger. Those guys have little to do with Staubitz. We need to sign a heavyweight enforcer.

No Nokelainen would be the Center, White on the RW. Then you can add your enforcer next. Otherwise Noke is the extra and they have no plan to get an enforcer whatsoever. They would get a better 4th line center. Unless you want to play with 7 dmen and not 8

I think they are ok with Noke as #4 center, he is reliable defensively, can win faceoffs(RH too) plus can kill penalities. White and Moen as wingers so far(unless Moen bumps up to 3rd line). I see a spot for 13th forward as an enforcer.

My iphone battery died so I resorted to some AM radio while stuck in traffic today. Turned on Sportsnet Fan 590 it always gives me a good laugh. Today one of their mediots (Jeff Blair I think) said something like:

"There is no pressure like Toronto in all of hockey , and probably all of pro sports. I don't think Martin Brodeur could handle it".

This is cool-as-cucumber media savvy Stanley Cup Champ soon to be hall-of-famer Martin Brodeur, not handling the pressure of loserville.

+1 for the guy comment in Toronto!
Martin Brodeur loved his low pressure life in New Jersey...
Watch him sign in Tampa with high pressure athlete Vincent Lecavalier!

Chicago seems like the perfect fit. But Tampa might be good fit too. Especially if he's thinking ahead and likes beachfront.

If he doesn't got to Toronto, it won't becasue he's afeared of the nasty old press.

edit- When he doesn't go to Toronto.

Prust is a better hockey player at this point. That, and he's younger. Asham is like 34 now, no spring chicken.

On the flip side we can probably get Asham for 1 year 900k-1mil, Prust will require 3-4 years and 6-9 mil. Longer committment and 2-3 times the cap hit.

i see the habs going after prust, Allen and parenteau sunday. I think they're not convinced Bourque can play top 6 minutes. I don't know why they'd dangle Eller in a trade for Ott....and the plekanecs rumors don't make sense - easier to trade or sign a winger than find a center of his calibre. but parenteau will be a real option - i don't think they believe leblanc, bournival or gallagher are ready (if ever) to be top 6 wingers...
