I just don't want any dicking around with him and Larsson in the lineup. Larsson must play.

Re-signing the 4th line is great. No worrying about that going into free agency. We have enough to worry about right now.
I don't really care for the Janssen signing, though. I still don't get why he was brought back.

TGfireandice: Two-year contract for Stephen Gionta. One-way the first year. Two-way the second year.

They may have to trade a defensemen to get a replacement for either brodeur or try to replace Parise's production.
If Parise leaves, they'll have to replace 31 goals. That would probably mean that MB30 and Salvador remain. So you'd have 8 NHL caliber defenseman. So one would be available and you can have Corrente or Urbom be your 8th Defenseman.
Trade Andy Greene to say San Jose for Ryan Clowe or maybe to Nashville for Erat.

Lou loves Cam, wouldn't leave him without a job he'll collect a paycheck being a good teammate and every now and then beating a rangers face in.

I'm surprised Lou was able to pull that off. After the impact Gionta had during the playoffs, I'd think he'd want a guaranteed one-way contract for both years.

I think harrold understands he's a depth guy. He's made himself useful by being able the play wing and defense, but he's not going to be in the starting lineup.

He's a great spare-parts guy. Good healthy scrach for 40 games a season material on nights you don't want to play Janssens or Boulton.

Whoo Lil Gio!! And awesome value for Bernier!
I had a feeling from the get go Carter would be closer to 1 million after the playoffs he had, but I could be wrong. Either way, this is excellent.

I think Carter is going to be the guy who gets 1m or just north of it.

With Gionta a likely lock to make the team, Harrold on a 2 way contract is great for depth and probably puts him line to be Albany's captain if he isn't in NJ. Barring someone like Jay Leach being re-signed, who could also take that veteran leader role.

Not if your playing the Rangers and Scott is in the lineup. Or the Flyers and you have Renaldo in the lineup.

I agree. He was very good as a 4th line center/winger.

Wow, I didn't realize you were allowed to make it 1-way/2-way in different years. That doesn't seem common

Probably a clever compromise if he wanted two years one way and Lou wanted two years two way.

Lou did that with Pelley and Leblond too, I think. Only Leblond's was 3 years, haha.

So basically our only FA's of any note left are Zach and our goalies, with Sal a secondary concern and Poni/Syk tertiary ones.
