I'm okay with the money and everything, but I'm not okay if feaster is signing him to be our second line RW. With comeau signed it would seem he would be the 3rd line RW but now with stempniak re-signed I hope lee is our 3rd line RW and comeau is slid down to the 4th line, atleast to begin the season.

Tanguay,Cammalerri,iginla
Glencross, cervenka, ?
Bartchi,backlund,stempniak
Comeau,jones,jackman

I think feaster needs a second line RW and the offence is all but set. And with the sarich signing the D might be set so I don't see us doing much more.

I like him, but I'm surprised.. Do we have room? Who is on their way out?

So, pretty much the exact same team as last season with a few cosmetic changes.

Feaster seems to like doling out 2 year contracts for all the fringe roster players. A one year contract would have been better here.

Everybody except Jokinen. You wonder if Feaster knows which position we're weak in?

Not a bad deal all and all. We needed a right wing top 9 forward and Stempniak had some highlight moments. Not expensive either.

Feaster is really starting to bug me. I understand signing Wideman, the powerplay really sucked so he got the best available option to improve it. I understand resigning Sarich, the d-corps wasn't gritty or mean last year, and Sarich provides that at a reasonable price.

I don't get why he'd bring back Stempniak. A team full of average players having average seasons has missed the playoffs three years in a row. Feaster is now resigning the same batch of average players and hoping something will be different. There's nothing wrong with Stempniak, he's a good player and this is a good price for him, but at some point I would think you need to shake up the roster to see if you can make something different happen.

Okay this is silly. It looks as though feaster plans on bringing back the same team next year, with minor swaps, and not making any actual changes.
I'll tell you right now where we'll end up.

The deal itself isn't bad. What I don't like is that there's far too many faces from last year returning.

I'm guessing Horak starts the season in the minors and Stajan is either traded, bought out or plays the season in the AHL.

Gotta say I'm not happy about this. He should of picked one of Comeau or Stempniak to be brought back, not both. I like Stemps, he sounds like a good team guy, he's a decent player, the price is right, but how is this changing our roster?

If Moss gets resigned I'm gonna flip my lid. I wanted to see us go for Parise, Semin or Jagr. This better not be the plan to go with Stemps on the 2nd. Why not swing for the fences on July 1st, and if you miss out THEN resign one of these guys.

Stajan probably third line; Horak in the AHL

Tanguay-Cervenka-Iginla
Baertschi-Backlund-Cammalleri
Glencross-Stajan-Stempniak
Bouma-Jones-Comeau
Jackman

Centres 1-3 will be rotated like a revolving door looking for a fit all season long...

They are different players I like that we have both.

Last year we lost 4-5 forwards at once and had to use TKO in the top 6 (well didn't have to but did) but this year we could have Comeau in that spot or Stemps. We have a much deeper team now.

Let us not forget that it was Stempniak's injury that made the call up for Sven possible
