My vote goes to Clinton Portis, who this year showed just how much he was helped by playing in Denver. His 2 years in Denver, he averaged 5.5 yards/carry. This year, he averaged 3.8. By comparison, Troy Hambrick averaged 3.9 last year.
So who is your most overrated NFL player? Please explain your choice .

Torry Holt? Most people dont even consider him top 5 in the league, but the guy is #4 in yards, #4 in catches and top 10 in TDs.
Tom Brady wins Super Bowls. Not one, but 2. He's not even in the prime of his career.
No, Denver had a decent defence this season and Bailey wasn't all *that* bad. I just never really liked the guy and I've always thought he gets a bit too much praise.
I'd start off with Portis. He is a terrific running back and one of my favorite players for his attitude and personality but he was undoubtably helped out by Denver's scheme.
he was great player for the Bucs but now his knees are done that's why he can't perform. When he was in Tampa the other team double teamed him and he got 10 to 15 sacks a season

Bailey had to totally readjust his game this year because of the NFL's newly adopted stance on contact with recievers. I would give him another year or so to let him catch up to the rules and I am betting he will still be among the NFL's elite with his amazing athleticism

is Feely even rated ?
Big Ben is a very good QB and I don't think he's that overrated, and Torry Holt is the best receiver in this league IMO other than that it's fine
i put feeley because when he was traded, everyone was acting like he was some sort of savior and a franchise qb when he was a 3rd stringer for the eagles
and i put harrington down because hes one of the few players in the league that i just dont like
Most overrated player this year is Roethlisberger for people pointing at the record and forgetting other people are on the team. I mean they beat Buffalo with Maddox and 2nd stringers.
Some overrated players over the years IMO: Warren Sapp, Keyshawn Johnson, Chad Pennington, Mike Vick, Lavarr Arrington, Mike Alstott, Marc Bulger.
Harrington? Hes underrated if anything. He is bashed so much when he is NOT that bad of a QB.
He's not that great either, I don't think I've seen a QB underthrow as many balls as he has. Doesn't help that the WR's drop a lot of balls too. He has the potential, but he has terrible field vision: he trys to force a lot of balls, just throw it away.
Top five guys as of this season, no particular order:
Ben Roethlisberger- Treated by the media (and Steelers fans) as if he's already a top tier quarterback in the league. Most impressive rookie QB since Marino, without a doubt....but the guy is not Marino (yet, anyway) for Christ's sake.
LaVar Arrington- This guy simply is not one of the best outside linebackers like most people want you to believe. He'll make a lot of highlight plays, but he takes himself out of a lot of plays and is not involved in nearly as much tackles as all the other top tier outside linebackers are.
Michael Vick- The highest paid player in the league, and still not even one of the 5 best quarterbacks in the game.
Brett Favre- Like lots of future Hall-of-Famers in the past, he's still treated as if he's almost near the top of his game still. Packers-Colts was hyped like it was a matchup of the two best quarterbacks in the game. Favre is very inconsistent now and takes his team out of games as much as he wins them.....and this is all with what is a great supporting cast on the Packers offense.
Mike Vanderjagt- People were saying less than a year ago that he might be the best kicker in NFL history. Give me a break. He is absolutely horrible at kickoffs, and his field goal stats are inflated because a.) he rarely ever tries a field goal over 45 yards, and b.) more than half of his field goals have been in a dome.

He also has what is arguably the best offense in NFL history on his team. He rarely tries field goals, period.
He's not great at kickoffs, but that's just one strike against him. With Gramatica in Indy right now, he doesn't have to be great, either.
You're forgetting last season he was perfect. He may have played 8 games in a dome, but he also played 8 games outdoors.
I can sort of see how he's overrated, but there are so many players out there who're more overrated than he. He's not the best in NFL history, but he's up there, and for my money, he's right up there with Vinateri and Akers.
