Pick

To CHI:

Believe it or not, I almost posted it. I just don't want Kane traded, but I was literally thinking of this proposal.

It's a fantastic proposal, sir. You get more production back and trade Kane out of the conference. If Kane were ever on the block, I'd highly consider this.

Saad-Toews-Hossa
Sharp-Kane-Ladd

Dynamite.

I've wanted Kane for Kane and Ladd since sometime 10-11 season

we need more effective forward depth
they need a superstar forward they can build around

It would be a trade I'd be happy with. However, it'll never happen since Kane probably won't be on the block.

He really isn't. Toews is the definition of untouchable.

Kane used to be, but it was a pretty lacklustre season by his standards and his frankly embarrassing behaviour off the ice is starting to annoy a lot of people.

If the right offer came along, and it made the Hawks a better team, they'd do it.

I don't think it happens bc Jets say no. I think they like Ladd in the peg, and I dunno who else there would step up into the captain role.

Yeah, I don't think Winnipeg does it either. On the same hand, I'd be reluctant to do it, but I think you'd have to pull the ginger on it. The team would definitely be better off going forward.

These topics are bad, and anybody that posts in them with serious Kane trade proposals should feel bad.

Literally almost posted the same Jets proposal, but I decided to not post the proposal. Kane is not available and should not be. Period.

Which is what I was trying to tell my dad. Both of those proposals were from him.

Any time you get flack for an awful proposal here or on the main board, you say it was your dad or your friend. Either own the fact you made a terrible proposal and not make an excuse or stop posting other people's ideas and tell your friend and dad to make their own accounts.

Right. They used to say the same thing about Denis Savard, then when Chelios arrived the tune changed quickly. Kane is not untouchable, nor should he be. One way players seldom are.

I like the winnipeg idea but I don't see them trading Ladd. Not now. But maybe another young guy in burmistrov. We would need to add to Kane to get both kane and Burmistrov, though. But add Hossa or Sharp to those 2 and its a very dangerous 2nd line

There were rumors of Ottawa being very interested in both kane and Hammer, especially if they don't land Nash. Some thought a package similar to Nash might be offered: heard it was Ziba, Foligno, and a young goalie. Maybe add Zack Smith to get both Kane and Hammer?

And the Hawks are 2 years away from emerging from mediocrity (at least). Unless Stan pulls a rabbit out of his hat in the next month or so, this team isn't going anywhere other than mid pack. Bringing in a power forward of Nashes pedigree would be a giant boost for this team and imo, we would be a goaltender and maybe a stay at home dman away from competing for the SC..... or we could just remain status quo, sorry I mean "improve from within the organization". ZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

And why the **** would we make that awful trade? We don't need prospects like Z-Bad. We need good players around TOEWS and KANE.. our two most untouchable players. The two players that are our best playoff performers.

Sorry but anyone who wants to move Kane for depth aka mediocre players is dumb. How often do you people say "no way... We don't want quantity over quality"? Pretty much any intelligent hockey fan. I know some people think we won the Cup because our depth but we also won that Cup because PATRICK KANE.

You find other ways to get depth. You don't trade your best offensive player for depth. You grow depth in the system, sign it in FA, or trade picks/prospects for it. You don't trade superstar talent and one-half of the face of your franchise. It is ****ing crazy.

I don't think trading Kane for Nash is that bad of an idea. The Jackets would have to add, maybe a player like Methot.

Nash makes our top 6 pretty damn sexy and would be lights out on this team. The only problems are his higher cap hit and that he's older. Methot would balance that out.

That's your opinion and that's fine. I'm sure a lot of people share your thoughts. Fine. Kane might be one of our most clutch players. Along with Bolland and Toews. But the depth did win the Cup. There were 9 forwards that all played huge roles. Ziba, from most reports, will probably start the year in the NHL. I think playing him with guys like Hossa can work. Hossa can cover for his rookie mistakes. I feel this team, if you also add a guy like Doan can score more because they play a tougher style that can succeed against the tough teams. I don't mind your opinion, though

There is only 2 scenarios I would accept

1. We get a better player as return. Stamkos, Malkin or Giroux --> not gonna happen
2. We get a equal RW back & a player that will fill a hole on our Roster like Landeskog & Duchene/Statny or Pavelski & Couture --> not gonna happen
