No, I get you. Just trying to bring some levity here.

I'm bored like you are and want Lou to do SOMETHING.....We're running out of things to discuss.

Given it's an unsecured claim, I imagine Vanderbeek is somewhat lucky to be getting anything back.

^ Under what Scenario could Vanderbeek have gotten MORE money back, BG?

Or was this the best case scenario?

We can always pretend it's before July 1st. I'm kinda bored too.

Alright first things first. Trade Larsson! That will open up room on our defense for Suter, and Garrison. Then we can re sign Parise. I've heard he was friends with Ryan Suter! In fact just over a month ago I saw an article where it was rumored they would sign to the same team together!

What that's crazy! Praise would never leave the Devils. The team that drafted and developed him into what he is today. The fan base that blindly supports him every step of the way.
He is an ocean of loyalty and will always remain in NJ.(doosh bag)

If his claim was contractually secured or backed with real-life collateral. In bankruptcies, usually unsecured creditors get told to move on with their life and/or go to hell.

Oh yeah, I had a client go through 2 chapter 11s and my adversaries got real pissed when they were told their Max recovery was 2800 on a 250k SIR.

Most took it and waived fees to cover their *****, but I got a broken ankle that fully healed with no PT and no surgery in denial and refuses to cash the check lol.

We need an accountant to show us where we make money, and where we lose money with and without player salaries :V

I dunno bout the writer's opinions but I do like the source quotes. I would agree with some of those assessments and how telling they are. Seems like...status quo -_-

I dont think we would really know about any investors until they are approved as part of the ownership or the paperwork for approval was handed in.

It's all about August 14th anyway.

and how i was a part investor the day i bought a frosty.....Thing about that Botta story is he let it die....never followed up on anything about it. Say what you will about the Post, the sourcing and what not but they have followed it. Botta, in and out and blatantly wrong or mis-informed

Wendy's is my favorite of the big 3, and it would be glorious to have their stands at the Rock. But the last thing we want is Nelson Peltz as an owner. It's a poorly kept secret he wants a team in Hartford. I want nothing to do that.

Say what you want about Vanderbeek, but he's a New Jersey native. We need someone like him with more money. It's really frustrating that the obvious answer, Ray Chambers, wants nothing to do with the team. Also frustrating that a bunch of other rich guys around New Jersey apparently love the NBA but can care less about the Devils (Kushner family, Lewis Katz, etc).

Even if Peltz buys the team, do you think it's at all likely that he will move the team to Hartford? There's no chance the NHL would let that happen.

Exactly. They'd make sure Peltz understands this. In the meantime, the Scent of Bacon-nators will fill the Rock and become a distraction to the opposing team, making them hungry.

Is it wrong that I just went onto the Devils website and one of the headlines read "Net Investment" and I thought it had something to do with somebody or people investing in the team, rather than what it actually meant and regarded the goalie prospects?

Eerily quite out there.

Not sure which would be more devil like. The financial issues continuing to be a story. Or the "Aug 14th deadline" passing without any word of anything.
