Jannik Hansen to Isles

Haven't watched many Canuck games but I've liked what I've seen of guy particularly his skating ability.

I figure if the Isles don't resign PA (cough major mistake cough ) should they move Okposo to play with JT and Moulson and trade for Hansen to play on the 2nd line?
Put this guy on a line with Nielsen and Grabner - what would you get ?

more importantly what would Vancouver in return that isn't highway robbery ??

He's worth too much to the Nucks right now. Can't have enough Hansens in your team's bottom 6 - unless you have 6 or more of them, of course.

For Matt Martin straight up?

Or should one of the sides add?

The NGH line?

Hansen's a good skater, check there. Good gritty 3rd line winger. From the Isles for him...who do you guys have at RD again?

Honestly, he isn't available unless you extremely severely overpay (like Tavares for example).

He is the perfect 3rd liner for us, and also signed to a great contract.

Hansen is our Matt Martin, he's more valuable to us then you'd likely care to offer trade wise.

Wierd to say, but he probably wouldn't be as good anywhere else. He's just a hard working muther****er who plays exactly as he's coached, and he's honed his skill as a Vancouver Canuck and as a AV type player.

I don't see us moving him as he is hardly injured and great great defensively, quick skater, doesn't make mistakes, and is an ideal 3rd liner for our team.

O also, he has a great cap hit. Can't see Van moving him, cause who would we put there to replace him?

Not that he's an amazing player that is worth a bounty, but I think any team that wanted him would have to pay too much, not worth doing for the acquiring team. He's just perfect where he is and I'm sure he's happy too.

Hansen is one of my favorite Canucks. He seems to get better every year. It will take a big over payment to get him.

Tavares and Hansen should never, ever, be mentioned in the same sentence. Ever. Even if your talking about overpayment. I know you were not proposing Hansen for Tavares...but c'mon...

As an Islanders fan living in Vancouver, I couldn't have put it any better. Only way I could see Hansen moved is if Kassian pushes him down the depth chart, but who knows when that will happen.

That's a little too outrageous but I get what you're saying and definitely agree.

What Hansen brings to the Nucks, at his cap hit, is incredibly valuable and it would definitely take an overpayment to get him.

Not Tavares but I'd like something like Nino for Hansen +

Makes sense. Similar to how we feel about Matt Martin.

By the way, everyone is going to misinterpret this and say you want Tavares for Hansen.

Of course we'd want Tavares for Hansen.

Do we expect him? No.

Even if Kassian pushes him down the depth chart, I can't see him being available. Hansen is still cheap for a 4th line role (which he can also excel in). He is equally good playing on either wing. You'd need much more than Kassian pushing him down to push out a $1.2mill bottom-6er who plays either wing, is great on the PK and is the prototypical team player doing whatever his coach asks of him... Hell we could be loaded with talent coming up with Kassian, Jensen, Schroeder and Rodin all making the team and outperforming Hansen, but he'd still be worth keeping as a 13th forward.

Can't see him traded. No team will give up what the Canucks would need to move him.

It's probably blowing up in the Leafs' forum as we speak.

Not sure the value is there on the open market but he's pretty valuable to the Canucks.

Pffft that's stupid, Hansen >>> Tavares, the Isles would need to add.

This.

Honey Badger is my favorite Canuck and I believe he'll still progress to have a scoring touch any day (season) now.

Apart from the twins, Schneider, Edler and Kesler he's probably the most untouchable player. Love the way he plays
