.
You mean he has lost a lot of money in casinos? You mean Jagr really needs money now that he also owns a czech hockey club.

I think he'll be fine so long as he keep his finances in Czech

Fixed for you

Yeah, and may be that travelling thing. But I guess it is not as important as things mentioned above.

All this talk "He is buddies with this guy/that guy/another guy just because he's Czech" is non-sense... No matter whether we talk about Plekanec, Hemsky or Cervenka - yeah, they played with each other for a certain amount of time in national team or KHL but it doesn't really mean "Yeah they're buddies = he comes there". It's just like when I read about a month ago that Radulov will come to Pittsburgh because he's very good friend of Malkin (which is also bs).

If Jagr was to sign with "one of his buddies", he could sign nearly anywhere in the NHL. He will go where Hasek signs because they won Olympic gold together in 1998 (sounds like a Holmgren move )

I don't think the Rangers have any interest in him.

I was thinking along the same lines for the Sabres. I wouldn't be opposed to signing him for a few years. We have a bit of a youth movement going on with Grigo possibly making the team this year, and Armia and maybe even Girgs next season. It would be nice to have a guy in the room who has done what these overseas guys are about to do, has produced, and most importantly won cups. We have a couple of good leaders, but no one who has won a cup and no one who will carry the same weight as Jagr will to these guys.

I think its out of the question with multi year deal - Jagr has said he only want 1 year deals, so he can not risk getting stuck if it turns out to be a bad fit for him!

If I remember correctly Jagr met the Buffalo owner last year before signing with the Flyers?

Grigorenko and Jagr on a line together? I like the sound of that. Two big bodies. Grigs could learn a lot.

Absolutely, but is there a serious mutual interest?

It could be very interesting to see him being mentor to guys like Eberle, RNH, Yakupov or Hall just like he was to Giroux or Schenn this year. Intriguing, to say the least

Not much to report on Pens' front at the moment. If things don't heat up, I'm calling Svoboda.
Good stuff!

Michal Rozsival, Jaromir Jagr, Matt Carle and Olli Jokinen mulling over several offers right now. (nothing earth shattering, eh)

I think he'll go to the highest bidder. He strikes me as a guy who cares more about the last penny, regardless of how bad the team is, as opposed to taking a slight discount to go to a contender.

Jagr can't be overpaid, because he sells the tickets.
I don't know the name of the TSN guy who said it, but he was damn right.

So that's why he left tax-free Russian KHL

So thats why he snubbed St.Louis who had the highest offer last year? Jahr could have made twice the money in KHL last year too. Just tiring how ignorant people are and just believing the haters.
