Leafs TV Schedule: TSN vs Sportsnet vs Leafs TV

With the 2 headed corporate monster also known as the unholy alliance set to take control of MLSE this summer what will become of the Leafs 2012-2013 TV schedule?

Will the games be distributed amongst the 3 channels similar to last year or will we see changes? Personally i would like to see the vast majority of Leafs games on TSN. Not only have i always found TSN's television production and HD signal far superior to Sportsnet's i also simply can not stand the color commentary of such TV analyst's as Greg Millen and John Shannon on Sportsnet & Leafs TV. Cast my vote for TSN getting the biggest share of the Leafs games. Don't know if it's doable but we seriously need an upgrade and better commentators than Millen doing the games & Shannon doing pre game.

Right...so it will be very interesting to see how the unholy alliance slices up the Leafs TV pie.

The question everyone cares about is how games are going to be on Sportsnet One and TSN2.

i thought the only real reason for leafstv was was to jack the price up tsn and rogers pay ... i.e. if they dont pay X for certain games, we will keep the games sell the advertising and pay production costs

if tsn + rogers = mlse, leafstv becomes redundant

They are going to break existing contracts? Didn't see that in the news so please provide a link.

They own Sportsnet and Leafs TV so they won't change and HNIC and TSN are national contracts so no change, I would imagine.

I dont think it will change ethier, however TSN I'm sure is gonna push hard for the saturday night games when the contract needs to be renewed and not sure if CBC will be willing to put out the money for it.

That would suck royally.

Doesn't make much sense actually for them to do that, they'll get much wider viewership on their primary channels (TSN and SNET-O)

Leafs TV is practically useless during the season, the good part is probably only the press conferences, for games I just rather see it on tsn or sportsnet.

I don't see TSN2 airing Leaf games, but I would be happy if they did. I royally hate Sportsnet because I live out of Leafs region.

I would like to see TSN show Leafs games on Saturday night so we don't need to hear Jim Hughson, Craig Simpsons & Glen Healy doing the Leafs games on CBC.

Think I read somewhere a while back that Rogers & Bell will have the same number of local games.
They will take turns picking which games they want to broadcast.

LeafsTV goes national, and all weekday games, get played on it.

I hope the production quality is improved tenfold then. As it is, that station ****ing sucks.

I'm would also like to see Leafs Saturday night games on TSN as i also can't stand Hughson & Simpson.

As far as Leafs TV HD and CBC's HD signal goes they also suck compared to TSN's HD signal.

Who would everyone like to hear doing the play by play and color commentary on Leafs games?

CBC games have nothing to do with the Leafs purchase.

Remains to be seen how the non CBC games are split up.
