Pretty much, it could get better but while our D are nowhere the caliber of their top D, our forwards will be better going forward.

The sens probably make the most sence. They have good skilled vet and some nice young guys. You know they played the whole suter/weber and Keith/seabrook cards as well. Less pressure on him with karlson.

Now that I said it out loud he going to take his talents too Ottawa.

Everytime I refresh Bobby Mac's twitter, he gets an additional 2 followers. Random observation.

I would feel so much better about this if Vancouver was one of the teams eliminated.. i still think the chance to win now and being that close to home is going to be tough to turn down

The question would be how much of a factor he'd actually be in helping that team win - he may not crack the lineup at all.

I think it's the teams that have been told they are out intentionally leaking the news, so it makes the kid & his agent look bad. Like you wasted out time courting you, we are gonna make you look like villains.

Hahahaha. Thats hillarious.

Because Miami could use another Offensive Defenseman

He might have to come off the bench though.

The repectful way to do this (much like interviewing candidates for a position) is:

1. Inform the successful team, see if offer still good, agree to contract.
2. Ask successful team to be quiet until other candidates informed.
3. Let down other candidates

We're at the 3 stage, by all indirect indications

I agree with ya. The Senators and Oil have a lot of appeal, but joining a team in the midst of their prime - with the chance to win a Cup for your home city - could seal it.

Blech, i feel dirty just for saying that.

Easiest way to get kicked out of this thread is make personal attacks or anything of that nature.

We're all a little excited, but lets not get carried away now.

True, and i think that's the only reason we're in this race... I think we have a chance.. I just dont think we are the front runner.

So apparently Schultz is calling all the teams that were interested in him to let them down first, and then speaking to the team he chose last. So I guess we'll find out as soon as the last reject falls.

This is quite a bit different than interviewing candidates for a position.

In one instance, you have people coming to you wanting to be paid by you.

In this instance, you have people coming to you wanting to pay you.

It would be like being courted out of University by a bunch of companies who all have certain offers for you. The narrowing down process can be done by picking one and then letting them know and all the others ones - while at the same time wasting the time of the other companies that are waiting - or you can let the companies you aren't interested in know as you cut them from your list.

If Schultz chooses Edmonton, he'd better hope they find a way to pay all those stars if and when they mature together under a new CBA.

Justin Schultz is calling the teams who were on his shortlist one by one. The team he has chosen will get the last call.
Haha. It has turned into the Bachelor.
