Been gone all day....can anyone give me a quick update of what's going on? Much appreciated in advance!!! I should be home shortly to catch up!
It's possible that Philly trades Couturier back to Columbus in a package for Nash.
That and the Pens signing Parise will make my summer. I'm fully ready to be called an arrogant Pens fan with the amount of talent we could have on this team next year, but Philly is a joke, pure and simple.

Doan won't sign until July 8th at the earliest, Parise is setting up shop in Toronto for visits/calls, Suter is in a different country from his agent; won't sign tomorrow, probably, Philly back in on Nash, Gaustad re-signed in Nashville for 3m+, Minny reportedly will be offering Parise 10-11M/year, Schultz signed in Edmonton.

1 - We re-signed Niskanen for 2 yrs @ $2.3m per
2 - Colby Armstrong was bought out of his contract
3 - Sharks want to move Marleau (he has 2 yrs left at $6.9m per)
4 - Minny is rumored to be ready to offer Parise ~$88 bajillion a season for the next 213 seasons
5 - Shane Doan reportedly won't sign anywhere until July 8th
Breaking News: Philly has no goalie, no defense, and is figuring on selling off assets (one of which helped shut down Geno) for a 7.8M/year career loser.

Cause hes overrated on a horrible Contract lol. Imagine paying kunitz 7.8 million
alright lets be fair here. He is way better than Kunitz. He should probably be getting 6 something. Put him with a real team and he may blow up and be worth every cent of that 7.8 though.

Wait.. are you serious? What the hell is the issue in Philly? They look great and are young. They should just grow as a damn team.
If we're seriously considering 8 mill per for Parise, depending on the package we'd have to give up for Nash, I'd feel much less worse about acquiring him if we missed on the Parise boat.
Nash and Geno would be lethal together. Slide Neal on to Sids wing. A lot of people talk about Nash being the franchise player of a losing franchise, but I don't think it says much on Nash. They've never surrounded him with legit talent. If he came to us, he'd be worth his cap.
I'm hoping we sign Parise for around 7.5. Isn't that what we offered Hossa? I'm not totally comfortable with signing him to 8 though. He's an outstanding player, but let's keep things in perspective.
Excluding his season two years ago where he only played 13 games, he's averaged 67 points. He'll be 28 once the season starts. He's an amazing player that fits our system and Sids game to the T, but he's not worth 8 million dollars, imo. Signing him to anything more than 7.5 would be a mistake, imo.

This is my thought, I think he can net 45 goals on Crosbys wing.

My God they just love to blow their team up, eh?
I'm guessing they don't go through with it, but the fact that they came back to the table with Howson supposedly asking for Couturier and/or Schenn is monumentally stupid, IMO.
Not sure why they don't just give up the same assets for Ryan, TBH, if they're going to do it.
I love him, but apparently he wants over 2M. Not at that price.
Cooke and Dupuis are perfect fits for Sutter. Move TK, Martin and other expendable assets to stack the top 6.
Go after a cheap option for the 4th line if necessary. If Prust would take a 2 year deal and we had the cap space, I wouldn't mind it. B/c the way I see it, **** doesn't start get interesting for us capwise until Tanger needs resigned.
