IMO it is Hamonic. Streit is good do not get me wrong but Hamonic is younger, more physical and has a booming shot of his own.

Hamonic and it's not even close IMO. Hamonic can play on the Power Play and on the Penalty Kill. He can shut down the other teams best line and he also has a lot of potential offensively.

Hamonic by ability, Streit by captaincy/vet acumen.

Politically: Streit (captain)

Actually: Hamonic

Eaton was a close second.

Hamonic, more responsible in his own end imo

Streit was recovering so that may be a factor.

We do not have one.
Hammer is a #2.
Striet at his age is a #3.
Viz at his age is a #3.
AMAC is a #4.
Reese is a #6 at best.

Missing a #5 and a #1.

I'd say Hamonic, because he is more of what a #1 D-man should be and that is a shutdown one. I don't think Streit is bad defensively at all, when he's on his game he is very smart in both ends, but I think Hamonic has the better defensive game. Streit also spent the better part of last season shaking off the rust, he looked awesome in the 2nd half so we'll see but as of right now it's Hamonic in my opinion.

It's Streit without a doubt, he's the one that can make big plays happen when the moment calls for it the most.. Hamonic will be there eventually, but right now Streit remains our top d-man

To say Streit without a doubt is pretty moronic, a top defenseman shouldn't be a -27. Hamonic was a +6. I guess I'm not too surprised since your username is Streit Power lol.

Hamonic is not yet a good PP option IMO. Our D did not get enough enough shots on net from the point last year.

This past season it was Hamonic. Streit was awful for the first 50 games of the year, and would constantly make bone headed plays. However the last 30 or so games he was much better, and looked like he was returning to pre-injury form.

Right now I would say its Hamonic, because I think he will be even better than last season, but Streit or Visnovsky could definitely be our go to guy.

I would definitely say Hamonic, and I like the way he moves the puck in the offensive zone. I think he will be more of an offensie threat and continue to be great in our own end. We need more Dmen like him....lot of heart, physical, and smart.

Depends how you define #1 dman. If you define it by total minutes or total points (like this years norris trophy) then it will be Visnovsky. if you define it on who plays against he other teams best players than it's Hamonic.
