despite all the young guns and their promise... all this had made me mostly anticipate what Krueger can bring

stoked

Agreed, the main boards have been ridiculous even by HF standards. The oiler hate is unbelievable. Thing that pisses me off is that the Oiler posters are for the most part very logical and rational, that can not be said for Anaheim, Toronto and such.

The New York Rangers posters have been fantastic though. Great group of fans.

Nice day to be an Edmonton fan. We landed Schultz (and we didn't give up anything) and the Esks won.

Management deserves praise for this victory. They went all-in and won.

I would hope not, having to go through another circus like this in two years would kill most of us off I'd think, haha.

I don't often hope for the Eskimos to win, but since the Riders won and the Oilers signed Schultz, I wanted the Eskies to win so all of Edmonton can feel what I feel.

You're welcome!

Not a big deal, really TBH.

I love the way this kid is talking "I never demanded a guaranteed roster spot, I don't know where that came from" then talking about how he has to make the team.

I also noticed Tambo was really annoyed at Tencer for asking the question about his character.

lol, I was just buggin' ya, but i'll give you props for taking your lumps bud, it's actually pretty funny to see that (grotesque) avatar on an Oiler fans profile...and yeah i knew you have to go through this again soon, just couldnt remember when your 1st 'jail term' was up lol.

hmm, i stand corrected then, if your betting has landed us those 2 players, then by all means, go ahead and bet your life away.

kinda reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where that guy was making bets with women knowing that he would lose the bets but gaining a date in the process.

Almost as exciting for me is that Hall was such a big part of the pitch. By the sounds of it, HE really believes in the direction of this club and is really taking ownership. That's huge.

I've always felt that Eberle really wants to stick around long-term (close to home, grew up an Oilers fan, etc), but if he and Hall can get the ball rolling on taking small discounts to keep this whole family we're assembling here together (say, long-term 5.5-6M/year contracts depending on what the cap looks like), the rest of the young guys could very likely follow suit.

If all of the guys feel that we're building something special, they'll play like it.

This signing also shows the Big 4 that we're committed to getting elite talents (assuming Schultz develops as he's projected to) to support them and that we have the ability to do it.

I saw that too, sounds like the media made more of things than there really was. I guess we'll see if he was worth the hype.

I think Duthie said something like that earlier. That the media created the hype, not Schultz himself.

I would have to think one of those media guys would have to be Garrioch, with his cheapshot about "Orr" signing with the Oilers. What a *********.
