If the Wild were to get Marleau, I'd imagine that would help us into a playoff position, making a first round pick semi-expendable.
Clutterbuck + 1st + ?
Does that sound like some type of building block for a deal?
If it's a deal with the Wild, then yes, Clutterbuck, a 1st, and something else would be ideal. The "something else" is what I keep getting hung up on. I dont know much about the Wild prospect pool.
For the record, i dont want to deal Marleau, but if we are doing it for the sole purpose of cap flexibility, then so be it.
I personally have a soft spot for Marleau, and honestly it doesn't look like the Wild are going to get the forward they want tomorrow(Parise), and the Minnesota Sharks have had good relations with the San Jose Wild in the past, so there could possibly be a deal worked out.
Sucks giving up on Setoguchi already, but I think Marleau would make the Wild stronger than if they didn't have him and had Seto. My personal decision though. Not sure how the rest of the Wild fanbase would like that one.
Yeah DW isn't dumb enough to make the team worse by doing that.
If hes looking to shake it up a bit he absolutely could do something lke this. Wilson has proved he's not shy to go after the big guns in a trade. Thornton, Heatley,Boyle ect.....and they were said to be in on Nash at the TD so it's not out of the question something like this happens.

Sorry, but how is losing 30 goal scorer and getting another younger one who does it with lesser team mates not an improvement?
yeah, especially one that hasnt even reached his full potential to one thats clearly in a steep decline into mediocrity, yet some people still are quick to defend him.

To be fair, he pretty much owns every Sharks record. So loyalty is to be expected, especially when you consider a hard majority of Sharks fans don't know a Sharks team without Marleau.
If you have another source I'd post it. The 4th period is pretty unreliable.
there a bit iffy... theyve seem to be getting better... they had reported that feaster was interested in hartly last year... and had a couple others lol but still i agree with this
First off the article proves nothing. Second, I don't want to trade him, he is our fastest player and the Sharks are painfully slow even with him. If he is traded, the trade MUST replace Patty's speed and offence. Keep that in mind with your offers.
With the acquisition of Rebeiro, I would now welcome the Marcus Johannson + 1st for Marleau offer that was talked about before. Caps could use a goal scorer on the wing, now that they've gotten a second line Center.
