Hmm.. Now, I suppose McPhee will counter with Zilch, right? Yawn. How are we going to compete with that lineup? I thought we were supposed to be going for a cup. To hell with this team, stringing fans along for years.

Yeah, What Oates did was far worse than Jagr. Demanding to be traded repeatedly, holding out despite being under contract, sleeping through meetings, getting Linden run out of town. I'd put Oates' crimes in DC against Jagr's crimes in DC and say Oates was far worse.

No what I was suggesting was "hey player x who contacted you" player x says teams a, b and c and some small interest from teams d and e. That may not happen but it's an assumption that can be made in asking those questions to players after they sign.

Either way I'm with you in that I doubt we have really any clue as far as who GMGM has contacted or not.

I would take him back for 1yr at 3m. But I'm in the minority.

Agreed... but he's got a few things right and then comes out with this. Albeit, not reliable.

Looks like GMGM likes what he has... a seventh seed team that swapped Semin for Ribeiro.

Ugh.

Totally forgot that Aucoin is a UFA. Would've loved him at 2 Million you're right. Solid defenseman and a veteran presence.

Sign Jagr then immediately dump him on waivers just so we can laugh as he rots in Columbus.

Gormley tweeting that we're not close to a signing or a trade. In other words, something is imminent.

Nvm, it's $3M total, not per year. Actually a pretty darn good deal for McClement.

Salo signs with TB. Caps are the only team to not make a move in the SE.

$3.75 mil per, wow.
