So first came a Christian dating site commercial, then a black singles dating site commercial, and now, a Jewish singles dating site commercial.

Just give it a week for the mail order carbide commercials to pop up.

If I were ovie's teammate I would order him a Russian bride for his birthday.

Can't comment here, at the time of Studio 60 I wasn't such a critic yet, so I kept watching it because Matthew Perry was/is awesome.

But yeah some damn obvious and annoying plot lines set up in this episodes and bad character development.

It's so hot out that hot air balloons can't go up.

It's so hot out that trees are whistling for the dogs.

It's so hot out that Fletcher deliriously offered Parise a 13-year deal.

It's so hot out that you ask your boss for extra work just to stay inside in the AC.

It's so hot out that you cancelled your Hotmail account, because you didn't like the name of it.

Seriously though, I just went outside for 15 minutes to fill all the watering stations for the animals, and my face burnt to a crisp. This is insane! They've got nice cold water out there, but hopefully they all just play it smart and stay in their burrows.

Wow, it is hotter in Minnesota. Only by a couple degrees, but still. Surprising. Man, you guys whine a lot.

My complaint is about it being dark outside, despite the heat. OTH is also about 300 miles south of me so it's probably warmer down there.

The strange part is that it's hotter in Cambridge (45 minutes north) than it is in cities. Usually it's the other way around. End of the world?

Can't see without going outside for a while as my apartment faces east. Looks fairly clear that way. Must just have cloud cover rolling in from the west.

I don't think I've ever been more disappointed with a TV show. With its cast, coming off The West Wing and possibilities to discuss media issues within the context of a comedy show, I thought Studio 60 was going be great. Even the pilot was good...then it all went wrong.

Agree with you that Matthew Perry was great in it but that's it other than Steven Weber. Problem was Perry's character (an extension of Sorkin) could do no wrong and was seen as a God, Harriet Hayes was supposed to be this amazing serious/comedic actress and sex symbol yet was there for Sorkin to win past arguments with his ex-girlfriend and the "Studio 60 show" looked and sounded nothing like the extreme TV institution people were saying it was.

Yeah. I've never watched West Wing or that much Sorkin for that matter, maybe I'll give West Wing a shot at some point then try to see how Studio 60 actually was.

Watched Newsroom ep. 2 till the end, I feel a little bit better about it but its just cos I'm getting fooled by the feel good ending that was still somewhat out of character. But Will and the cute blonde romance is also kinda good but predictable.
