Just because he asked for that crazy up front money, doesn't mean anybody will give it to him. And even if only one team will give it to him, I don't expect him to sign with the Wild.
If Marty signs with another team I will literally cry.
Like, waterworks status. Seriously.
Honestly, Brodeur going anywhere else will leave a much more sour taste in my mouth than Parise going to any other team in the league (pick any one. Doesn't matter).
The Wild will have to absolutely **** themselves financially to get Parise.
Do you really think you're going to get the best American player in the game who is the captain of his team and coming off a trip to the Final to come play for your garbage squad for a reasonable price?
The Wild are useless. If it wasn't for the fact that Parise's a hometown boy, they wouldn't even be in the discussion.

Absolutely. I'd be devastated if Marty leaves for another team.
Not a fan of a lot that their twitter spews but that one was well deserved and well played lolol
I'm not entirely buying that kind of up front money for Zach. It's insane and only the Wild will pony up
Monoply money like that.
Players should be aware that the only teams that can pony up like that are ones that aren't spending money on good players... because they don't have any... and are therefore bad teams.
As we expected, the Wild offer is probably colossal and going to be the high bidder (which it needed to be in order to have a shot at getting Parise).
No way can the Devils even come close on that deal or the front-loading aspect. It's possible the Devils may come in behind the Wild and Wings on the financials, dependent on whatever the Pens offer is.
Lou needs to just go to Brodeur and give him what he wants, I do not see what is so hard about that, Parise is gone.
Well if Lou has a maximum amount of money he can spend (be it on everyone, or just allocated to those two), he has to be careful of just throwing a large chunk at Brodeur like that. The last thing you want to do is price yourself out of Parise because you threw X million at Brodeur an hour too soon.
I dunno, consolation prizes may appeal to some players but I don't think I could just switch off my internal motor that drives me to win if I was a player of Zach's caliber.

We are already priced out on Parise.
Lou needs to practice damage control, if he dare lets him play for another team over 1 or 2 million dollars he should be out the door with Marty.
And I say this with the utmost admiration for Lou.
Lou's going to wait on Zach's decision before he goes sign Marty whether Zach signs or not. Just because of the possibility if Zach does resign to work with the cap/budget.
