He was always going to be overpaid, the question is, by how much and by which team?

Only the Wild will offer that and you and I have said it isn't happening. Bleedred spent weeks screaming it won't happen.

Wings potential offer is scary but I think we could have an Elias situation still and we should at least be in the ballpark.
Well, Russo is a good source, so it's not just a bunch of crap now, but again, I'm not sure if he's saying that Parise's agents are asking everybody to put that kind of frontloading in, or whether only the Wild have.

lou stop waiting for zach! everything is being held up for him. this is not scott niedermayer, who had a big decision to make after spending 13 years with the team and winning 3 cups. and 20 teams were not bidding for him. move on.

I agree with this.

If you want to leave, just don't say anything.

At this rate, if he leaves, a lot of the replacement options will be gone by the time we find out.

That, I am not ok with.

Signing Parise to a long term deal isn't worth it for us. We'd be better off with Ray Whitney for a year or two. Suter is the only guy worth throwing money at. Parise's 2 goals in the last 11 games of the playoffs isn't worth it.

Dream on, losing Zach would take us years to recover from, especially with Marty almost out the door too.

I don't know if you're talking about Brodeur or Parise. If the former, you are 100% wrong. If the latter, there's still a good shot you're wrong. Either of the two bolt, I think a number of fans are going to look at it as the team having no money, and not a player leaving because they want out (like some free agents of the past). One word of advice: relax.

I can't **** on Zach for being tempted by a huge payday. There is nobody on this planet that wouldn't at least consider offers no matter how loyal they may be to their employer.

This will not be an easy decision for Zach if in fact the Devils aren't being limited due to the financial questions.

NJ is still in this. If thy weren't I'd suspect you would have likely already seen a couple of signings by Lou at this point. One being Marty and possibly some other UFA of ours. Lou will not get burned again like he did with Nieds.

Pitt can't afford the crazy numbers on Zach and aren't stupid enough to do it either. No winning GM Is that dumb Honestly only the wild are that dumb and we knew it was going to be crazy money.

He won't score 40 again, but I think he will score 30+ for several years yet. That's still valuable.

That's the ****** part. If Zach keeps taking his sweet ass time, all the good players will be gone, there's not much, but would like a chance at someone.

At least Doan will be out there at least until the 8th/9th.

I don't want those replacements for what they're going to cost. There isn't much out there that is THAT good, especially for the hefty pay day the majority of those guys will get.
