I think Suter and Parise are playing a game, first one to cave and announce their team loses. They're both pretty good at it.

SF Bulls are about to change the face of the ECHL when they sign Parise.

So true. All DW ever does in FA is overpay for veteran role players. He's good at trading, though. I'll give him that.

Didn't Sabres fans want something like Pavelski for Roy in trade proposals earlier this year? Haha... dang.

I don't watch enough east coast games to know how good that trade is for either team, but early concensus on the main boards is that Dallas fleeced Buffalo

The following trades disprove your point:*

Mark Bell, Craig Rivet (for MaxPac and Gorges), Bill Guerin (for Perron), Brian Campbell (for Bernier and Tyler Ennis), Moen and Huskins (for Bonino, Pielmeier, and Andrew O'Brien), Rahimi and White (for Ehrhoff and Lukowich), Nic Wallin (for Marc Alt), Galliardi and Winnik (for McGinn, Pirate, and Connolly). And that doesn't several trades that I personally don't like but which others seem to think were good deals.

* As always, I am using the name of the player taken with the pick as a reference for the players available. It's no guarantee the Sharks would have taken that player, but it does represent the opportunity cost.

Eh Roy was pretty terrible in Buffalo on ice and off. Good trade to get rid of him imo.

Except he isn't the more well-rounded player. Neither one of them are superior at defense, but at least Parenteau has crafty hands. Not to mention Parenteau is pretty quick and Samuelsson is a solid F in the speed department.

And thinking that Hudler is worth more than 4 million is.... He's not a sniper, and he's a horrible skater. Hudler is absolutely terrible.

This is not good for us. I've been saying the Stars need to change their locker room/culture if they want to get better (specifically by moving Ribs and Ott), and now they have with Robeiro AND Ott gone. Probably means no more Dallas Stars Crybabies anymore (and, of course, they have Whitney who will light it up against us). (ironically)

I think I want Semin on the Sharks. That would be an insane amount of firepower and perhaps enough to compete with Pit and LA's stacked teams. Handzus has to go though..too slow.

If the TSN crew viciously tearing into him on air didn't convince you he's a massive cancer, I don't know what will. Pierre McGuire (while a creep, knows his stuff) absolutely brutally tore into his character, his work ethic, and said ANY team should stay far far away from Alex Semin.

That means he'll be cheaper than his skillset would usually cost. I like bargains. Plus, he can be on the 3rd line whenever he isn't playing hard. I'm thinking if he plays with Jumbo some he may light it up and I don't think he is that much of a cancer. Just misunderstood. He's no worse than Marleau imo.
