I can't remember it was in the last week or so. I have no idea if there was anything to it but if Murray consulted with Koivu about Souray, you would have to think he would do the same about Jokinen considering he fills a glaring need.
It could be the case...I wouldn't be surprised. Jokinen haven't been the easiest guys but I'm sure he has matured at least when turned 30 something
No scared of Dallas at all. Just because they are making moves doesn't make them a better hockey team. Not impressed.
They added a 70+ point winger (Whitney), a 60+ point winger (Jagr) and a usual 60+ point center (Roy) and only lost Ribeiro. But I agree that there's some ifs in that lineup. But if those ifs (Whitney and Jagr holding up and Roy bouncing back to some extent), then they're in tremendous shape.

They're definitely a bit better, adding two pretty decent forwards definitely helps, even if they downgraded at 2nd line center and lost Ott. Still aren't too scared of them, though. I'd definitely love to take a crack at Morrow later in the season if we're in a good position and they're struggling. Hell, I saw some Stars fans not penciling him into the top-6 as it is, maybe we can take a crack at him now.
You guys want to ***** about center depth... Have you seen theres? Lol
It's at least in the middle of the pack in the league. Jamie Benn is a solid #1, Roy is a solid #2 (awesome #2 if he bounces back, still on 29 years old), and Fiddler is a good defensive center, capable of putting up 25 points. Which is usually what you can ask for from your #3 C. Petersen is the weak link, not sure if they're planning on keeping Wandell or bringing someone else in for the 4th line.

-Whitney is the only solid piece they added but he's not getting any younger.
-Jagr hasn't hit 60pts since 2008
-Roy is undersized 2 years removed from injury and a terrible season since being back healthy.
They shipped out...
Ribiero and downgraded with Roy and shipped out Ott who gives what the paper reports don't show.
I stand firm in my beliefs they are no better of a hockey team than they were last year if not worse IMO.
I get to watch this new Dallas team all season next year. They are going to be a force offensively. Should be a lot of fun to watch. They are definitely going all out this summer.

Ribiero was not their no 1 centre, Benn was. And Roy is not that much worse than Ribeiro at all.

Jagr obviously didn't play in the NHL since 2008 until last year, so I don't know how that proves anything... And he had 54 points in 73 games this year, add 9 games to that and he's probably at 59 or 60 points.
The average #1 center produces 65-75 points (Benn).
The average #2 center produces 45-55 points (Roy).
The average #3 center produces 25-35 points (Fiddler).
Benn was better than Getzlaf last year, Roy should be better than Koivu next year, and Fiddler is better than Bonino. I'm not saying they are a contender, but they are better than the Ducks when you take all the other positions into account (again on paper).
