The defense absolutely is a huge ?? going into the season if there are no upgrades. Sorry, but I don't see the Flyers going any further than a first round exit in the playoffs if nothing is done.

Good let Suter go to Detroit and I hope Parise goes elsewhere instead of Pitt...

If Carle and Jags don't sign..fine...we can try and work Weber out of Nashville somehow although I don't want to lose Schenn or Couts but it seems not likely......

Flyers have all their eggs in two baskets and quality players are getting signed. I would have liked Zanon as a cheap D upgrade.

Well maybe now we can get to signing Doan, Tootoo and McClement while nobody else is looking.

Again, throwing out "deals" hoping to net a head-liner with no long term plan, seems to be the Flyers way. Sometimes a little stability goes a long way towards reaching success.

I have to agree with this.....A multi year deal for a player at his age has got to be something for him to give serious consideration to . I just saw the Habs just signed Prust as well.....Good pick up !

IMO as he was quoted this season a few times that he looks forward to playing for a few more years (even spoke about playing til he's 50 which I think is a bit over the top, no matter how well he felt), I think he wouldn't be against a 2yr deal.

Although, after the Flyers were eliminated he sounded much less optimistic and spoke about the next season as probably his last one overseas (but planned to play at least one more season for Kladno).. So who knows.

Nothing wrong with that. Right now we don't really need to sign anybody. All of these guys are going to get insane amounts of money. Carle is probably going to get at least 6 M a year. I like Carle, there's no way I'm giving him that kind of cash.

Ryan and Nash won't be moved until the asking price drops substantially.

I agree with this.

We don't NEED anything or anyone. I'd like to nab:

Parise ---> Doan ---> nothing significant

(Assuming Suter is on his way to DET.)

Dustin Leed‏@D_LEED

@TheFourthPeriod I believe Ryan could end up in Philly -- if Parise goes elsewhere -- without Flyers parting with Schenn or Couturier

I'd imagine signing Parise or Suter for 10-12 years would provide some stability and fit into a long-term plan.
