I know he's only had 2 seasons of 82+ points, but 7.5 is still a ton. Unless those 82+ pts are more done because of his own skill and not others?

$80 M to $110 M is a gigantic range. I've gotta think the $100 M offer is for more than 12 years.

12 years at 80M is WAY more manageable.

I look at it this way; at this point he's getting money and years thrown at him so he's going to choose where he feels he will enjoy his time the most. He's going to pick Pittsburgh. He will play on the wing of either Crosby or Malkin for his career.

It is really extreme.....You never really know how a player will handle the tremendous pressure they must feel after signing a HUGE contract and now having to live up to it ? I know many think that is nonsense,or that a player could care less cause he got his money etc, but i think otherwise. I think the huge money Bryz signed for and the " expectations" it bought with it messed with Bryz's head this year ?and certainly the universe as well.

That's cool, I don't know anything about it, it's on my list of rumor sites, just thought I'd share.

I'm not arguing that it's impossible to fit Giroux, Parise, and Suter into the team. I'm just saying it's not worth it and makes it much harder to manage the team.

But he's not going to have to pay market rate for it until the later part of the decade. There is a lot of cost control working in the Flyers favor for the next handful of years.

Suter's cap hit might be below league minimum by the time that deal ends.

The offer is insane but for some reason I think I can live with it for at least 6 years.......besides Briere is gone soon and Timonen is gone next year. We need to sign a high end free agent regardless but these terms are nutso.....

I still think Parise goes to Pitt to play with Crysbaby....

So if by some miracle both Parise and Suter accept our offers, what the hell is Homer going to do about that minor cap issue he's going to put himself into as usual?!

I guess trade a bunch of guys for 5th round picks?

If that happened I would love to see Shero's face.....but then I'd hate to see the bloodletting of other assets to fit them both in...

Over the years all you ****ing Guys have done is complain about homers cap management. Yet here he is today with enough room to be the highest bidder for the 2 best players and some people are crying about Leighton, cap issues (still).

While myself and other are just so thankful to be a flyer fan because no matter what every year they are going to go all in to give themselves the best chance for now and in the future to win a cup.

Well one thing most will be happy to see if Parise and Suter sign or even maybe just one of them is Shelley finally being let go.....I think even Meltzer mentioned that option is most likely.
