The only way I could see both Doan and Jagr landing here is if Joe trades Ryder.
I mean, he is coming off of a strong season, so his value should be pretty high.
Ryder isn't realistically being resigned anyhow, and you get a "free" replacement whose reputation could mean quite a lot as far as winning back fans goes.
I'm not really sure thats kosher, though, with the whole 2 year contract, and bringing in someone to replace him.
It's quite a long shot anyhow, but thats the only way I see it getting done.

I also don't see Jagr coming here, Ryder staying, and Doan not landing here.

Eriksson - Benn - Jagr
Whitney - Roy - Ryder

That top-6 would be eaten alive against any sort of physical teams.

I'd much rather flip Ryder at the trade deadline.

Me too, but if both Doan and Jagr somehow land here, which is almost certainly not happening, you think they would like to flip Ryder for a defenseman on the tail end of his contract, similar to Ryder.

This is amazing. What Joe's doing this offseason is insane. We're still rebuilding and focused on letting our prospects develop, but we've SIGNIFICANTLY upgraded our top 6 this year, all to short term contracts that won't block our kids from moving up when they're ready.

Absolutely genius.

Money means nothing to us. We're not a cap team and Whitney/Roy/Jagr are all 1-2 year deals.

absolutely dude. We could've paid him 8 and I'd still be ecstatic. This is just a fun bridge year to get fans back in the seats for the Stars. We're going ot be a very fast, and fun team to watch now. Guarantee we'll make the playoffs too.

This probably means our PP isn't dead last in the NHL. Hell yes we're excited.

We have WAYYYYYYY too much much talent and veteran leadership not to. This team is going to have an absolute blast playing together, and I'm sure we'll string together a lot of wins. Also? I'm willing to bet we'll be a top 5 shootout team now too.

well I wouldn't say we're a guarantee. There are teams like Vancouver, Detroit, Los Angeles and St. Louis that are basically guarantees. We're definetely in the 2nd tier with teams like San Jose and Chicago that are solid bets at the moment with further anticipated additions to be made.
