Prust and Mitchell are gone.

We need to get our hands on a top six winger. Hopefully one of Doan or Whitney. Push some guys down the depth chart.

Hagelin - Richards - Gaborik
Kreider - Stepan - Whitney
Dubinsky - Anisimov - Callahan
Boyle

I wish Rupp were not a starter for this team but looks like he will be.

Rupp - Boyle - x

Overpay Konopka, Burish, Torrey Mitchell?

Or give that spot to a rookie. Yogan.

Scrimping on the fourth line should be common sense. So that they can fill more important roles.

McDonagh - Girardi
Staal - x
Del Zotto - x

Two spots on D to fill.

Lot of work to be done today.

I think Slats is keen to go with kids this year. I expect 2-4 rookies to make it.

If Mitchell can get $1.1 mil per it makes Prust's $2.2 mil per idea less farfetched.

Damage has been done? lol These "heart and soul" guys are a dime a dozen bottom 6 guys. At some point they go for their payday and it's time to part ways.

$1.1 million for Mitchell? LOL. Good for him but I'm glad we moved on.

My issue with him, aside from his overhandling of the puck, was that he didn't particularly excel at some of the things that 4th liners should do. Not physical enough, not good defensively, average at best along the boards, etc.

U guys saying the Rangers can wait for a trade which is true, but the SAME names will be thrown around. Stepan, kreider, mcdonagh, etc. You don't get premiere talent by giving up nothing. So we will be looking at the same exact scenario than

He literally bled on the ice during the playoffs. He was a hard worker. I trust Torts more than armchair coaches on here.

Mitchell was a useless waste of space that cost us an important game against Buffalo this year.

with JT Miller if he is ready.i mean Miller can do more than Mitchell. Miller is already decent on faceoffs...let Miller ease into the NHL, if not ready send him to AHL...
