Jagr to the Stars 1@4.5.

Another forward down that might have helped. Alot of eggs are in that Suter basket.

Wouldn't have gone for him, but 4.5mill is not an awful deal.

I don't even care about keeping Suter anymore.

I hate the Jagr thing - short term deal for a guy that could have sparked the offense and taught the young kids a lot. At least Jagr didn't go in division.

Wow, Jagr would have been nice. Surely if he was willing to go to Dallas he would have come here...

I wouldn't be so sure, Jagr continually raved about playing with top end offensive talent like Giroux. In Dallas he'll be on a line with Benn and Eriksson, here it would be Erat and Fisher... Not quite the same.

True true, although playing with a fellow countryman could have been enticing.

I thought about that as well, I wish we'd gotten him, would've been pretty cool to see Jagr in a Preds jersey.

Suter continues to be a cancer to this team. Cut the cord, sign Carle and Doan. Give Weber and ultimatum that he either signs in 2 weeks a longer deal or he can start writing up a list of where he'd like to be for next season and we see what we get in trade value. Doan will add a leadership quality we've needed for a while and we can trade for defensive and offensive talent with Weber.

No one reputable from what I see, just sham twitter accounts.

Edit: Multiple reputable sources report that the Wings have offered Suter a 13 year 90 million dollar contract, sham twitter accounts like ******* ******** and the creasy report that Suter has agreed to a 13 year 90 million dollar contract in the hopes that he does agree in the future and they can claim that they reported it first.

That's twitter for you, zero chance it's true, though he may very well sign that exact contract later.

Yeah, I haven't seen anybody 'reliable' indicating a lean one way or the other since Kypreos two days ago. It's doubtful that the 13/90 deal is even the best one on the table.

I think money wise, the Wild have likely blown everyone out of the water. We'll see soon enough though.

That's...about 7 a year and we'd be able to throw that at Suter. I had heard the Flyers and Penguins had offered over 100 though.

Those teams are having to try to out bid because they both know Suter has little interest in either of them. I would be willing to bet their offers are inflated compared to what he is getting from the teams he is actually considering (presumably Nashville, Detroit, and Minnesota topping that list)

Shea Weber's options post-Suter: 1) accept Q.O at $7.5 mil. 2) wait for offer sheet. 3) sign longterm with Preds. 4) push for trade.

all you need to do is look at weber's comments.

there are 2 options.. sign him to a 1 year deal so he can bolt next summer or trade him now out east where you can get a great return and hopefully control where he goes somewhat.

this...

all we have to do is go back with both suter and weber.. and its no secret they dont want to sign long term. look at last summer with weber. his comments this summer.. suter's comments during all star weekend. him being persistent in testing free agency. its not hard to see where this goes. hopefully poile acts accordingly.

Weber's gone, too, most likely. Awesome. Time to strap in for yet another addition of Summertime Pred-a-coaster. Can't we get one ****ing summer where we have nothing but excitement without a bunch of heartbreak and bitterness happening first? Please? I think we're pretty much all decent people. Why do we deserve to be dragged around by our emotions all. of. the. time?
