hockey toughness =/= fighting all the time. Somtimes it's hits, sometimes it's being strong on the puck, and others it's taking a hit to make a play.

That being said, we still have plenty of players willing to drop the gloves.

No, he won't. But he was a hell of a lot closer to a guy who can help you win in the playoffs than a guy nicknamed "Tenderness".

I like Methot, I just think we could have added the grit Methot adds by going with a prospect or going after Allen.

I would rather have Boro or Gryba or a FA and Foligno. I wanted Foligno on our third line going forward. He slotted in perfectly there. We had him where he didn't belong b/c of our lack of talent, but in two years I was thinking we wouldn't need him to up there and he could settle in and he and Zack would be **** disturber #1 and #2.

Methot has had 6 career fights in the NHL ....... he will stick up for himself but lets not start thinking he is going to be intimidating to anyone

Do not want or need to overspend on Garrison... I think our defense is set with Methot and Lundin acquisitions along with probably Borowiecki sticking with the big club. I would like to see a Jordin Tootoo type signing for the bottom 6 and a legit Top 6 foward.. Yea yea im sure Latty was signed to fill that role but Im just weery of him staying healthy and we just traded away Foligno so I don't see how we needed a Top 6 coming into today then turn around and trade Foligno.

And yah sure Konopka and Carkner make our team tougher, but they barely played. I would rather have players that aren't reliabilities that can suit up every game AND have some toughness.
I can agree with that last point, do you think we have that tho?

And for the most part we probably want those guys on the ice, and not in the box for 5 mins.. We need another fighter or two, imo

I'm surprised none of the big names have signed yet. The bidding must be ridiculous.

Once Suter signs, I imagine Carle and Garrison will be signed within 30 minutes.

I'm thinking the Murrays have seen enough/ are confident enough in their young guns that they're expecting one of them to go into the top-6. Having said that, the Sens need to acquire another 2M+ contract to get to the *cap floor* at this point, so they're likely not done.

D.J King and Brad Staubitz come to mind that are actually worth playing in the NHL.. outside of that it's Francis Lessard type talent.. I dont want anything to do with anyone like that.

We're probably still looking at a top-6 forward, probably on LW. I'm quite sure managment don't want Greening there anymore, and it's unrealistic to expect Silvermountain to step in there right away.

As I haven't seen Latendresse much before I watched a few videos on him on youtube, excited to have that shot in our top 6.. provided he can stay healthy.

I don't understand how what I said that was funny? LOL

I doubt Murray is done for the day. If Alfie retires we would be screwed, I doubt Murray would put all of his eggs in one basket. (not to mention a top 6 made up of players plagued by injury)

I predict we sign 1 more forward and one more defensemen today.

I got a feeling we're saving room for Suter. I can dream right?
