Could be the steal of free-agency.

If he stays healthy and produced the way he did with the Wild a few years ago this can be a great deal

Lot of pressure to replace foligno now. Media and fans are unfairly going to expect him to be a power forward.

But he has experience with pressure. He started his career in MTL and everyone expected them (like they expect Price, Subban, Patchioretty and now Galyinchuk (sorry)) to drive them to a cup next year.

Gonna be the best under the radar signing of this year's free agency, calling it now.

IF and that is a big IF he can stay healthy, this will be the monster signing of the year!

Just wish he would not have strung Minnesota along like he did with his two-faced talk.

Very good signing by the Sens. Wanted the Leafs to sign him.

My favorite signing of the day.

All kinds of size, skill, and physicality

But....can he stay healthy and actually play games? If he can't it won't matter. 25 goals in 55 games in a system like Minnesota 2 years ago for a 22 year old had me thinking Habs got bent hard. But the kid lost developmental time these last 2 seasons playing only 27 games total.

Latendresse is more of a skilled player, than a powerforward. If the Sens push him to be a powerforward, they will do more hurt to him than good. He did well in Minnesotta because they let him play his game, which is a skill game. Latendresse has soft hands and a good shot. Montreal forced him to play a powerforward game and he struggled at times and looked disinterested because of it.

Let him play his game and it can be a good signings. Keep him motivated, that's the key.

I'd rather have Stone in the lineup than this guy. Stone is already several notches better offensively than Latendresse. Especially on the PP.

Stone has 1 NHL game on his resume while Latendresse has over 300. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. With Ottawa fielding so much young talent having a guy (hopefully) in the lineup with some experience will be a plus. Especially now that Foligno is gone.
