Good stuff. Can't go wrong with that kind of contract.

Honestly I hope if he's healthy come January 1 they re-sign him to a 2 year extension.

Actually, he is an idiot who thinks he is funny. I live just outside of Toronto and found him to be very annoying. His sense of humour is juvenile and mindless. He reminds me of a couple of tools that I work with who hear crickets every time they try and say something witty. For some reason people annoint these idiots as funny when they become celebrities just because they stray from the usual pro athlete rhetoric.

I hope he plays well for us but I don't want to have to listen to his mindless ramblings. Maybe Price can help Armstrong develop some comedic skills as I find Price absolutely hilarious with his dead pan delivery.

Colby Armstrong had options with other teams, but, chose Montreal. Credit Michel Therrien with having influence in decision. Pitt connection.

I like the signing, low risk, potentially good reward. Hope he stays healthy.

Once thing is for sure, with him, Prust and others we have become a tougher team to play against.

I guess he based his physical testing. Habs official site just acknowledge it.

Colby will earn 2 M this season. Leafs are paying Colby 1M to play for a rival.

This is required watching from any team who secures the services of Colby Armstrong.

I'm not sure too many of them really care. Sure there are pockets but it wasn't even a point of conversation with most Leaf fans I know. Army is a decent bottom 6 guy. Although he was invisible for way too many games last year. He has the potential to score 15 goals and will agitate...but he is a horrible fighter. I wish him well. I don't mind him...but there wasn't a spot for him. Easily replaceable...but for 1 million very little risk. As a Leaf fan I am way more upset about not getting Prust then giving up Armstrong.

I hope he has an injury free year. He has the potential but has been really slowed down by injuries. Great opportunity at a come back.

Like the signing a lot.

Give it a month or two and you'll all be saying "why did we sign that guy". He used to be ok in pittsnurg but hasn't done squat since. You're kidding yourselves. I saw all his t.o. games and he's pretty well finished. A million dollars..........thats a lot of bread.

A million is very low risk, ya gotta feel for Burkie for giving him 3.0M though...

No it isn't... it's a million dollars out of a 70 million cap, its not my money so why do I care how they spend it?

His 2+ years in Atlanta were better than his Pittsburgh years. He had 23 points in 50 games in his first year in TO and then the bad-luck injuries kicked in. If he's injury free, he'll be a bargain at $1mil.
