I think Rick Dudley said Armstrong was brought in because he can score 20 goals and Prust was brought in for the 3rd line.

They're not both going on the 4th line then.

I'd like to have a link, if you have one.

Prust on the third line is already a big stretch. But if he thinks Armstrong is going to give him 20 goals, he's nuts. He's done that exactly once and he was shooting over 15%.

Armstrong is a more productive player than Prust though and should be on the third line, he can even be on the top 2 lines to balance the depth I mean we could hope to see him between 0,45 and 0,5 in PPG. Maybe that was what Dudley meant.

We will probably start the season with something like this :

Bourque - Plekanec - Gionta
Pacioretty - Desharnais - Cole
Leblanc - Eller - Armstrong
Prust - Nokelainen - Moen
White

Gomez will probably be with the team unfortunately. Leblanc will likely be in Hamilton unless he impresses.

Rick Dudley, believe it or not, is neither the coach or GM of the Montreal Canadiens.

Dudley believes that Prust can fit into a third line role and that Armstrong can develop back into a 20 goal scorer. To misconstrue that into meaning Armstrong and Prust received their contracts to accomplish those numbers is, how to put it, very "Sun Media" of you.

It's also easy to believe that Dudley is projecting the players max value. What else is he going to say? "Prust is probably a fourth line guy who might get lucky with a few goals while Armstrong should be planted on the same line with few minutes"?

His favorite hab? Kirk Muller!
I wish we would have found a way to promise Kirk a future coaching position but I guess you can't stop a man from moving on up.
