Army was signed to be 4th line/13th forward...he has a lot to prove that he's still an nhl player. If gets healthy he can be a decent 3rd liner. But i look at him as a 4th line guy and a replacement for Darche.
You know the kind of team Therrien/Bergervin wants. Gritty, size, tough, grinding players bottom 6. Eller, Armstrong, Moen, White to some extent Bourque.
Palushaj's days are numbered lol.
Good, because Palushaj is a waste of space. Guy is so overrated its pathetic. This team isn't getting better, we are borderline last place, again this year. There better be a block buster, or we are in deep ****.
Not happy with a Toronto retread! Why is it when anyone becomes Montreal management they instantly become idiots?!? Noki and now this?!? GTFO!
Nokelainen is signed near minimum salary on a 1-year deal. He may very well be the 13th forward. Armstrong was signed on the cheap side too. He's more of a gamble because of his injury situation, and that's the ONLY reason Burke got rid of him. Not because Armstrong is on the decline IMO.

Your right...I should calm down because we added a border line fringe NHL again and Armstrong who wasn't wanted on the Leafs team.
Good low risk signing with the term and $. Armstrong was the type of player we hated facing when he was with other teams, but we'll like having on our side. Adding another righty and some solid size is always good.
Obviously his health is a huge issue on a team that has been very fragile.
If this Therrien era is going to work, bringing in one of his ''guys'' from PIT was a must. I know Elliotte Friedman was very clear back then on his Team 990 segments that one of the reasons why things collapsed for MT pretty quickly in PIT was the departure of Armstrong in 2008 as he had a key role in the locker room dynamic and the players-head coach link (they went to the Finals that spring after he was dealt, but were mediocre in 2008-09 until MT was fired).
And to troll Toronto fans, for the 2nd time in just over a week with Gally and now Colby, is beyond awesome.
the point i was trying to make was that (and i'm sure you agree) injuries killed us along with some terrible management. the nucleus or our players remained intact and like you said we added the aforementioned players along with bourque, kaberle and lost cammalleri. i see a playoff team, not a contender but a playoff team.
